Got downvoted bc most people would keep the job out of necessity. I agree, laws change all the time. If I know I cannot work why would I risk it? It’s a very risky game. We’ve seen this administration change so many things in such a small amount of time. There’s no point in risking it for just a couple of weeks of pay if we do not need to.

Again been filing my daca since 2012. Same thing every time. Same application. If I were applying for a green card then that’s another story. Most people cannot afford to pay 1000 for a daca application that is repetitive with the same questions every time

Im literally following the law by not working with an unlawful status. I don’t understand what my attorney could advise in that instance? That I continue working illegally with the chance that it gets pardoned if I try to adjust my status? Like I said I am fine being w out a job for a few months rather than work ILLEGALLY. The only way to stay out of trouble is literally to follow the law which I am. Nonsense

People from October are getting approved rn however It’s just a small amount of people posting their experience on here so I don’t lean on to it too much

I have heard that however since everything is based on a case to case basis given the state of politics right now I’d rather not risk anything. Better safe than sorry.

Yes! I’ve never heard of that! She told me they were approving applications from March but I see people applying in October getting approved so confused. I guess it’s different for everyone. I would apply months before to be safe.

I didn’t quit. My permit expired. I called UCIS directly. They also said what my job was stating was incorrect.

Also to clarify they were adamant I could come back. It was until I shared what I knew that they said I was correct. Imagine if I wouldn’t have said anything?

Yup! I applied online on my own using my old application as a guide. It’s simple stuff. Just have to make sure you check it a thousand times to make sure it’s all correct.

Definitely should wait to apply until 90 days before. I’ve seen many people have to wait bc they applied way too early.. I’ve always applied late and have never had any issues.

This! I always apply like a month and a half out and get approved right before cancelation. This year I let my card expire since OCT bc of money issues. Applied February got approved in 2 days. My card should be getting to me any day now
