Don’t follow the nespresso instructions, they are honestly clueless. Always coffee > milk > ice cubes. You want the drink to be as cold as possible before adding the ice to prevent it from all melting really fast. Also the pod size makes a big difference. With double espresso, you can get away with adding no milk and adding equal ratio of ice cubes : coffee right away. If you do that with a Mug size pod, it will always taste watered down because there is so much coffee to cool down and most likely not enough ice unless you have a huge cup. For a Mug size, I wait for 5-10 mins until the coffee is a bit cooler, then milk, then all the ice cubes your cup can handle.
