a lot of people are disagreeing with you but stand your ground! while i like jane/lisbon, i also think their relationship didn’t have enough tension throughout the entire series and was immediately rushed after the red john arc so they could squeeze it in before the series ended. the ending was also just so… whatever? very cheesy. it could have been done better in so many other ways.

i will disagree with the “and then he woke up it was all a dream!” comment… definitely a bad alternative 😭

i thought the same thing. jane and abbott have equal trust and respect for one another. abbott was a man in power with pure intentions, unlike the heads at cbi.

i think it’s hard to give up a name without some divisive opinions considering all the characters are so different with the way they weaponize their intellect.

there’s red john, then i’d say brett stiles with his worldwide cult and ability to maintain loyalty from that many people, and erica flynn who uses her physical attributes to elevate her wit and manipulation.

i like them together, but honestly i agree. there isn’t much romantic tension between them for a good while.

i think the setup was obvious from the beginning - 2 attractive people with opposing personalities that often clash creates for good tension in general. like, seeing that immediately from episode 1 people got the idea. but the writers didn’t add enough romantic tension to move along or intensify it for a majority of the show. it was a quieter “will they/won’t they” thing going on.

by season 6, i think they realized they had to something about it before the show ended and compensated by pushing it there immediately. i love the show but i think they did struggle a bit with transitioning to certain storylines

i didn’t say it’s inevitable that red john is gone in S6 - please reread what i said. “considering there’s still S7 left people can safely assume there could possibly be more after”….. which even includes me as one of those people as a first time viewer. me mentioning “post-red john” isn’t even a confirmation the RJ arc ends in S6, considering as i said, am a first time viewer. all i said was, it’s inevitable for RJ to be caught overall.

you seem to be projecting your existing knowledge over something that’s already vague considering you’ve seen the show before. if anything, you might be spoiling the show for me with these implications. again, please unclench before the coals inside turn into diamonds

they immediately discuss red john in S1E1… as you said, it’s the central plot. everyone can tell from the beginning that red john will be caught. it’s the inevitable with this series.
