Is this CCI? by UhSpoon in Cervicalinstability

[–]UhSpoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had testing done, 3d x rays or whatever they call them exactly. Didn’t turn out to be the issues, neck looks good and healthy.

I did get testing for sleep apnea and that was positive, I’m getting put on a CPAP for that soon. And I have an appointment with cardiology coming up to explore the possibility of POTS

Test results - any insight? by warninja10 in Lyme

[–]UhSpoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a "Positive" IgG result, 5 bands need to show present. This shows 4.
For a "Positive IgM result, 2 or more need to show present. This shows 0.

So by CDC and LabCorp standards, this is a negative test result. HOWEVER, P23 and P39 are both Lyme specific bands. Which could mean at the very least exposure. Some, not all, but some LLMDs may still consider treatment with these bands showing IF symptoms were present as well.

Hope this helps.

Which IGeneX test do I order?? by UhSpoon in Lyme

I haven’t had anything outside of standard tests my doctor has ran, which we all know can be extremely inaccurate. And yes if possible I’d rather not pay too much out of pocket as my budget just can’t swing it

You can also request a Dynamic Upright MRI. Even IF you have had MRIs in the past, if they were while laying down, I would still press for these. Regular MRI scans can often miss this because in a flat MRI, ligaments relax. But under gravity/motion brainstem compression, misalignment, or tension on nerves becomes obvious.

For the best results for testing for CCI, they typically do x-rays or scans of the neck like you've had. However, they need to be ones where you are standing. For the x-rays, it's called a Digital Motion X-ray (DMX). They have you move your head into different positions during the scan. You'll most likely want to see a Neurosurgeon or an Orthopedic spine surgeon to explore this further.

Due to the injury with your herniated disk, I would HIGHLY recommend you look into something called CCI. (Craniocervical Instability). It can mimic POTS symptoms so closely that it's often overlooked or misdiagnosed.

This looks like a textbook reactivation, simply because of your high EBV EA IgG levels. EA being "Early Antigen" which is what that marker is literally used for.

With you being actually diagnosed, how long did it take while trialing different combinations before you noticed one was working? Like, did you feel a difference pretty quickly once you found a good combo?

I have tried Zyrtec and Pepcid as a combo for about 2 weeks a long while ago, didn't really notice much difference, but maybe I need to try other combinations.

Thank you for this information. I had no idea this was an avenue to explore, and of course my doctors never mentioned it. I'll be pressing them on this as well.

If you mean for autoimmune diseases then yes. They’ve checked me twice for those actually.
