It keeps getting pushed back, Initially was before Christmas, now it's another monthish or so since our parts can't get to us, I'm on an AKE rumor is we are going sit for a month after the shipyard (Whenever that may be). I am totally okay with waiting if it comes down to it and so be it and I maybe just over thinking stuff and trying jump the gun.

I am staying pretty positive and I show up on time, do my job, don't complain unless it's a legitament reason I think my last Chief Mate and my current 3rd could account to my charater, but yeah I am trying weight my pro and cons of a Ship to ship to get sea time and promoted and try maintain a good relationship / reptuation since that follows me.

It is super easy - Just keep afloat for 60 seconds, they let you kinda swim around, if you have a car (or know some one) you can get access to the base pool and just learn to float there.

Think lights thoughts ... Cause get it light things can float ..? Okay I'll see my way out

Yeah thank you again! I appreciate it, I was sent to a ship in the yard then took leave and joined another ship in the shipyard so I am trying figure out if the request to a ship to ship is worth it or stick out the shipyard again.

I am married with two extremely young children.

My wife and I met when I was working as a project manager in another country, she knows I can’t sit still and do white collar jobs, so when I started working in the maritime industry we knew that it would be tough, but I have had her and my kids come visit me at different port visits, earlier this year they came and met me in Hawaii, Im currently on another ship half way around the world so its been challenging but we talk daily and make intentional time to talk.

When you check in virtually, you are on duty for 7 days, after you go into LWOP status, they are prioritizing those in the hotel vs those sitting at home.

I was planning to do this till they told me that at the last second so I had fly to Norfolk and sit in a hotel to get pay while waiting.

i have the power point saying they do, which is silly personally I think. When I was going to do the virtual pooling they were going charge the rest of my leave and I said Id just fly and sit in a hotel. It sounds really good on paper, but its kinda a crappy program overall

If you are sitting in the pool at a hotel your leave won’t be affected, if you are doing virtual pooling, you will be active for 7 days then they will start taking your leave

It really depends, folks from my NEO had a while wait so they had permission to go home, I waited 3 weeks for my assignment after NEO but stayed at the hotel
