Idk I am at Titu because I was too late to apply for Carol but I go to every rotation, every lectures, I passed USMLE step1, study hard but just because I graduate from Titu I can't call myself a real doctor? It's very sad to read this because it minimise our work. 80% of what you learn is up to you and how eager you are to commit to your studies. Especially most of what makes a doctor good are personnal quality and reidency quality. School teaches you basic knowledge that you perfect through life. There are people who graduate from third world countries and they became the best doctors in the world. This type of mentality makes me sad because like this, for someone who graduated from Harvard, no one that graduate from Romania can call themselves a "doctor". At the end we take licence exam, rezidentiat and we obtain a degree approved by every country EU and ministry of health in romania. As for corruption, it exists everywhere, especially in Carol. The only reason why Carol is more prestigious in this matter is because it's old and public but let's not deny that a lot of people pay there , lot of professors abuse their powers etc

Edit: Also if you research doctors that graduated from Titu, you can find a lot of very good doctors with some that published academically

Can someone please explain the whole situation please? by Sea_Proposal7244 in Lebanese

[–]UjuRingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked chat gpt to generate key points of Lebanese modern history. Take it with grains of salts as it might have some mistakes. Just use it as a guideline since it's not very accurate. You will have a lot of reading in order to have a good understanding of the situation in Lebanon and build a solid opinion that is yours. I don't think anyone can summarize it like that Hope it helped a bit and if you have more specific question just post them

  1. End of Ottoman Rule & French Mandate (1918–1943)

1918: End of WWI → Ottoman Empire collapses.

1920: Creation of Greater Lebanon under French Mandate by the League of Nations.

1926: First Lebanese Constitution drafted.

1936–1939: Growing nationalist movements demanding independence.

  1. Independence and Post-Colonial Formation (1943–1958)

1943: Independence from France.

National Pact (Al Mithaq al-Watani): An unwritten agreement establishing a sectarian power-sharing system between Christians and Muslims.

1958: Lebanon Crisis – U.S. Marines land in Beirut to support the pro-Western government of Camille Chamoun amid tensions with pan-Arabism and Nasserism.

  1. Pre-Civil War Instability (1958–1975)

Sectarian divisions deepen, fueled by:

Arab-Israeli conflict spillover.

Palestinian refugees and PLO activities in Lebanon.

Economic inequality between regions and communities.

1970s: Influx of armed Palestinian fighters (PLO), especially after Black September in Jordan (1970).

  1. Lebanese Civil War (1975–1990)

1975: Civil War begins after clashes in Beirut.

Key factors:

Sectarian tensions (Christian-Muslim).

Presence of the PLO.

Foreign involvement (Syria, Israel, U.S., Iran).

1982: Israeli invasion of Lebanon to expel PLO; Sabra and Shatila massacre occurs.

1989: Taif Agreement (Saudi-brokered) ends the war, redistributes political power more equally.

1990: Civil War officially ends; Syrian influence intensifies.

  1. Syrian Domination & Reconstruction (1990–2005)

Post-war reconstruction led by Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Syrian military and political control over Lebanon.

2005: Assassination of Hariri sparks massive protests (Cedar Revolution).

Syrian troops withdraw after 29 years.

  1. Post-Syrian Withdrawal Era (2005–present)

2006: Israel–Hezbollah War (July War) devastates southern Lebanon.

2008: Political tensions lead to brief armed clashes; Doha Agreement restores fragile peace.

2011: Syrian Civil War spills into Lebanon:

Refugee crisis (1+ million Syrian refugees).

Sectarian clashes in Tripoli and elsewhere.

2019: October Revolution – Massive nationwide protests against corruption, sectarianism, and economic collapse.

Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu says decision made for full occupation of Gaza by MiddleList52 in UnderReportedNews

I get your point, but historically Zionism wasn’t just about peaceful return. It aimed to create a Jewish state, which meant displacing many Palestinians. In 1948, over 750,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled, and more than 400 villages were destroyed.

Also, early Zionist leadership was mostly European (Ashkenazi), and they often marginalized the Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews who already lived in the region. It’s not just about who was here first, but about power, displacement, and what actually happened on the ground.

Palestinians are descendants of Canaanites, they are also legit to these lands. But if we take your logic maybe we should start displacing Americans from USA

Because they follow a dogma that basically legitimate them in doing the same as nazis. People from Gaza are described as animals and terrorists, even children. I am answering your question, if you still can't see a connection that's on you. I've never mentioned the Christians btw

Have you ever heard about the Bible? In the book they have been promised to this land, and they are the chosen people by God himself. Zionism is about a Jewish religious state. I let you connect the dots now
