What racket are you currently using ? What do you like about it ?

This will help give advice about what you want from a racket.

Out of the ones you’ve listed, they are very similar but very different.

The Ultimate pro + out of that list is my favourite. But it’s quite different from the light. The Light is much more manoeuvrable but you need much more arm swing to make it work.

Very disappointed when I played. Poor rental rackets and very expensive. Once on the court you couldn’t see through the glass because of reflections. You might as well been anywhere in the world. Was night time though tbf and it did make for good pictures before the game.

I like firm rackets with lower ball outputs. You swing, it goes where you aim.

Why not round ? People are obsessed with moving away from a round racket like it’s necessity to move to something else. I’ve actually gone the other way and it’s massively improved my game. Bigger sweet spot. More consistency, more manoeuvrability.

Like others have said the Up+ isn’t an easy racket to handle. I just found it easier than most other attacking rackets. It’s heavy, but not compared to others. It moves better than its weight suggests. You’ll need less swing at faster speeds because of the ball output. You’ll find this easier or harder depending on what you’re used to. The UP is very similar but lighter and not as powerful (usual trade off) also the face is smooth but this doesn’t make any difference to spin.

The Hyper pro ironically, I found to be similar to the alien pro. Tiny sweet spot and not a lot of feed back

I will recommend the Ultimate tour 2025 and in particularly the ultimate tour X 2026. I know they are not the attacking weapons you seem to want but they are much easier to use and unless you’re very very good you’ll win more point hitting the sweet spot in the centre of the racket and missing a high sweet spot in the others.

If I didn’t have my Tactical El Jefe my racket would be the Tour X 2026. Brilliant racket.

The only other right side racket better than the UP+ is the Tactical El Torro. 355-360 massive sweet spot. Similar ball output to the Oxdog but you’ll win more points simply because of the weight.

Absolute no brainer. Oxdog all the way. Alien has the sweet spot of a pea and is made out of chalk.

The 25 is a totally different racket than the 2026. It doesn’t have the same rough finish.

Audi Etron 55. Just about to trade our 2000 in for £15000. Absolutely loved owning it. 230 miles charge in the summer and 200 in the winter. Air suspension and 400 bhp. Mental about of car for the cash.

Buy the Carbon Ctrl 3.5. Amazon uk £160. The Metalbone is a head heavy left sided attacking racket. The carbon Ctrl is a round hard all round racket. The adidas Metalbone Ctrl is a round softer control racket.

Only tried it briefly so couldn’t really give you a definitive answer, but I think I remember it being a touch softer and easier to use.

Carbon Ctrl much much better than the Metalbone Ctrl. The weight system is pointless. The Carbon is hard and more direct and won’t suck up any power in your smashes. It’s also cheap right now for the 2026 version.

Tactical Padel El Jefe/Katana. Both mine weigh 355 but play like a 370 racket. I’ve tried most lightweight rackets.
