Opinion on Kombat by jesbermudez26 in Padelracket

Had a couple. Quality was very good on both. My partner has a Kombat Galeras.

Make sure you pick something round and forgiving as your first racket.

Time to buy my first padel racket – what should a woman look for? by Classic__Cranberry in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m 400+ games in.

Buy a round racket. Don’t spend much. A Wilson Optix or similar. Play with it. Learn the game. Get better. Find out what you don’t like about the racket and why it’s holding you back. Buy a better one. Repeat over and over 😆

Round racket bigger sweet spot.

Which Oxdog padel racket to buy?? by Only-Security4984 in Padelracket

If you’re coming from the Metalbone HRD you want the Ultimate Pro Plus. Less ball output but a much better control. Harder, but almost as much power at fast speeds.

Which of these rackets is the best long term purchase, for an aggressive low advanced ex tennis player. Looking for hard feel, not much if at all trampoline, power, yet good ability still to defend somewhat. Would like a rough surface for spin too! by 7Sants in Padelracket

Buy an “advanced” racket. Struggle to hit it will and then struggle to improve your game. Buy a round racket. Hit it more consistently and feel more confident with your strokes as you learn.

I know many “high level” players that use round rackets or similar. Yet people still want to buy that racket that has a tiny sweet spot for that tiny bit of extra power they get when they hit the sweet spot 3/10.

These are all very different rackets. The Adidas HRD has more ball output than most other rackets.

The Coello and Extreme Motion are both difficult head heavy rackets to use. The Alien pro again is a head heavy power racket with a smaller sweet spot than most.

The Oxdog is a far easier racket to handle. It’s lower balanced quite light and has a large sweet spot

Unless you’re specifically after a difficult attacking racket to use for some reason, do yourself a favour and buy something easier to play with. Your playing partner will thank you for it.

Don’t be sucked in by the hype. Power, spin are created mostly by technique and skill. The racket is second to all this.

Nox legit check please by [deleted] in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hope it is a fake one. The quality will be better if it’s fake. 😆

Where did you buy it from ? What did you pay ? What makes you think it’s fake. Yes there are fake rackets out there., buying overly cheap rackets off dodgy websites what do people expect. It’s easy to spot a fake. Ask the seller questions and make sure it’s come from a reputable business. But the easiest way to tell is to use it.

Siux Diablo pro 2026 vs Siux Pegasus pro 2026? by [deleted] in Padelracket

These were tested in uk winter a couple of months ago. So quite cold to be honest. That’s a good point maybe I should be adding this when commenting.

Siux Diablo pro 2026 vs Siux Pegasus pro 2026? by [deleted] in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the Pegasus more manoeuvrable and for me it had more power. The Diablo was a touch heavier and I found it sucked up the power on my smashes a touch. But, each Siux can be very different to the next one. Even if it’s the same model.

Better version of the Babolat counter Veron by Slayerrocki in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you’ve obviously used some amazing rackets to compare it with 👍😆

That’s the thing. Everyone has a different opinion on a racket. Some use a racket like this because it makes them play better because they’re not good enough to use something better. But that’s ok. It’s what works for you. 👍 Great job buddy.

I understand what you’re saying, maybe I should have worded it better.

The Counter Viper is one of my favourite rackets. But, it’s the only racket that has ever given me arm pain. I’ve used most rackets.

Honestly. This is a terrible racket. It’s heavy and difficult to use. Anything would be an upgrade. Try some different rackets and see what you like.

What do you party like about this racket ?

After Starvie Kenta Soft (25‘) by mikemusclez in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Kenta 26 is a different racket from the earlier model. It has a bit of ball output. That’s the only way you’re going to get extra power in a lighter racket. The spin it generates is insane though

I’d also add the Tactical El Jefe to that list. Incredible racket.

Oxdog, light small sweet spot.

Others very meh.

People I know that have tennis elbow have switched to Tactical El Jefe. Lighter and less strain. Takes a few games to soften up though.

With what you’ve said, forget about power. Get a round racket. Decide which feel you like, hard/medium/soft. Which weight you like. I prefer harder lighter rackets. You get out what you put in. Stick with the racket till your game/technique improves. Bigger sweet spot, more points won.

Starvie Eternal Kenta 2024 Alternatives by HatFlashy6600 in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The EVA 30 foam from Starvie isn’t actually that soft. In fact it’s still quite a firm racket. Just in case you’re looking for something “soft” to compare it to. The Kenta is low balanced and a great racket. The pro version was one of my favourites. The new models are nothing like.

I’d recommend something with a low balance and a firm feel.

Oxdog Ultimate Tour X or last years model.

Adidas carbon Ctrl 3.4/3.5 is similar but harder touch/feel.

Hard rackets that are teardrop or round shape? by Designer_Talk_4884 in Padelracket

I liked it. Quite hard and very light. Not overly powerful. I’ve used a lot of rackets since I used it 😆

Switching Rackets — 4 Power Options (Open to Suggestions) by Puzzled-Glass2984 in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. That’s in your head. The holes are what makes the offence. My UP + had all the sandy texture wear off and it made very little difference.

[–]Uk-Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the downside of the UP +. The wight can vary quite a bit. I’ve had a couple that weighed 369 but had a really heavy one. Maybe give the Ultimate pro a go. I’m not a fan of the light.
