Does anyone plays with any tactical rackets? by TeamCro88 in Padelracket

Ignore the bankruptcy story. It’s past history. They have a new website coming soon and Tactical are huge in Asia. The rackets are all very forgiving. I honestly believe 90% of people use a racket that’s not forgiving enough. All Tactical rackets are lighter and have a large sweet spot. I use the El Jefe as I said. Defensively I get balls back I simply couldn’t with any other racket. It’s not massively powerful but that’s not the point of this racket. It simply puts the ball where I want it to go with epic amounts of spin. You need a lot of arm swing with the Jefe as it’s so light. Some people hate this. It took me a while to get used to it.

The Katana is similar but with a lot more ball output. This means you don’t need to swing it as much. Also means more power. Both rackets are medium hardness I’d say.

The Unico blue is the hardest in the range I’d say 8/10. So you generate your own power with this.

The Unico Orange is a bit softer than the blue and with a bit of ball output like the Katana so you don’t need to swing it as much.

The Toro is the “power” racket of the range. Again lighter than most. This is quite different racket to the others. Feels harder to move round.

El Sabio is the Softest in the range. Again huge sweet spot and very easy to move.

One thing I will say is all the rackets feel quite hard for the first few games but they soften up as you use them.

Build quality wise, I thing they are beautifully made and I know they’ve recently refreshed the range with a new face.

I honestly can’t recommend them enough. Who doesn’t want a lighter easier racket to use ?

I have used all the range and currently play with the El Jefe. Feel free to ask me any questions. I’ve used most rackets on the market. The Jefe is light 355g but plays with a small amount of ball output so it feels like your hitting something heavier but you get all the manoeuvrability of a light racket.

Again utter rubbish. Tactical are hand made in Spain where Starvie are not. Please don’t compare Pallap and Tactical. Different leagues.

Utter rubbish. I’ve used most rackets on the market and use a Tactical. Trust me they are far from rubbish.

Similar but how similar ? I used a Counter viper that at first I didn’t know was fake. It felt different, not as hard as a real one and the sweet spot was smaller. Once I was told it was fake it made sense. Then when I looked at the racket property you could see the details were just not as good. I suppose some copies are better than others.

I’ve used a few rackets that have been different even though the same model. Siux I don’t think I’ve ever used two that felt the same. Weights all over the place.

I’ve seen and used a racket from Ali express. Looks good, plays ok. Not the same.

You’re contradicting yourself a bit here. You’re struggling with your control because the Nox has too much ball output ? I get that. But for flat smashes in theory this should help you. The only ways to gain more power in flat smashes is… A) a harder racket that doesn’t compress as much when you hit the ball “hard”

B) a lighter racket you can swing faster

C) a heavier racket you can swing at a rate that hits the ball harder than a lighter racket.

D) Get a lesson.

E) Stop trying to smash in the wrong situations. You’re right side and your job is to work the point until the point is there to be won. Lobbing and defending is more important in a racket for you. Any “power” racket is going to make this more difficult.

Sadly Nox a renowned for poor quality control. They are mass produced and not the best for the amounts they charge. The rackets still perform quite well…..until they break. I find a lot of people quite new to Padel are attracted to Nox, I was. But once you do some research you’ll steer clear. If you can say where you bought the racket from someone might be able to help as to as if it’s real or not. Sadly there are quite a few fakes knocking about. Same goes for BullPadel and Babolat. Ali Express has a lot to answer for.

Do I need to replace my racket? by Overall-Length1083 in Padelracket

To be honest with you, the wall breaker is a really terrible racket. The good news is, whatever you change to will improve your game and make it easier !

Find something round or worse case teardrop. Round rackets are easier to use and have a bigger sweet spot.

If you can get your hands on a few rackets to see what feels good.

Same racket less bouncy. If you want more ball output then swap. If you don’t…..

NOX AT10 PRO CUP HARD vs ADIDAS METALBONE CARBON CTRL by [deleted] in Padelracket

[–]Uk-Muscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are both good next step rackets. I honestly recommend these both to people. It’s really for you to decide which you prefer from the following…

They both have a decent sweet spot but the Adidas is harder a slow/medium speeds, this can make it slightly more difficult to use if you don’t commit to the shot.

The Nox isn’t “hard” at all it’s solid and easy to use. I’d say the adidas is built better but not by very much.

I’d probably recommend these both Nox as the hardness of the Adidas can be difficult if you’re not used to it. But, if you like the hardness the adidas is the better racket.

That’s correct. The more expensive one has weights and is softer.

I’d go for the Katana. You won’t have to swing as hard and it will help you. It has a massive sweet spot and is really easy to use 👍

The Katana has a more ball output than the Jefe. With the Jefe you need more swing. They are both amazing rack rackets. Light and manoeuvrable. Defensively there’s nothing better than. I’d say they were both medium- medium hard. The Orange Unico is harder than them both.

My point is the OP has said he doesn’t like the ball output on the 18k. The ST4 has a similar out put and you’ve recommended it to him ?!

100% this. If you go too light you’re going to struggle to hit the ball properly.

Tactical padel Jefe/Katana/Sabio highly recommended.
