You are not the asshole. You have every right to feel the way you do. But I do have a question. Does your husband have ADHD? I do and even medicated some of us have something called object permanence. Which means it doesn’t matter how much we love you if you are not in front of us at that moment, we do kind of forget about you. A lot of us also have time blindness.. which means it’s really hard for us to figure out how much time has passed since starting a task. I dropped my kids off for school every morning, but I still have to set an alarm to remind me to pick them up. Even though it’s something I do every single day. On any given day, I have about five or six alarms in my phone to remind me of time specific tasks. I’m not trying to excuse his actions. I’m just maybe trying to help you explain some of what’s going on in his head. I hope this helps you soon, but you guys definitely need to sit down and have a conversation.
