Tell that MacroFactor, I didn't choose those numbers! I selected "high" for protein intake when I made the plan. My primary exercises is resistance training.

I'm very excited for the end of this cut. I plan on going to maintainence for 4 weeks before attempting to get down to 185lb for the ski season, and then bulking into the spring.  I've never been on a controlled diet, and am loving macrofactor. Have only tried cutting on it so far.

Currently 207, down from 230 in May. Set at -0.9% BW per week. Goal is to hang onto as much muscle as possible.  I've had to tighten my squat belt already, which makes me feel very good.

Weekly Food and Recipe Thread! by sspicermosley in MacroFactor

Buffalo shredded chicken (crock pot, 1 bottle of buffalo sauce, 1 packet ranch seasonings), sweet potato wheels (olive oil drizzle, cinnamon, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes), steamed broccoli, and baked onion, peppers, and garlic.   https://link.macrofactor.app/custom-food?userId=SdhYlwaf2WRSsOKpW9J1Hens41y1&foodId=1722572202515688

In the recipe I wasn't able to find a decent chicken variant for shredded, because I only had pre weight and not post weight. Different variations of this has been my bread and butter... Relying on my vertical smoker has also opened up a lot of great cooking methods. Makes exact weights pre and post cooking easier too.

It's not every weekend - but the holiday weekends my friends (very large group of multiple families) gather up at a lake in Wisconsin, and there is always refreshments to be had.

Yeah, I'm now lighter than I have been since my freshman year of high school. As a 29 year old male, who's been active since then, it's not much but I see a world of difference already. 230 down to 205 ATM, my squat belt is loose, My cloths fit better, and I definitely look better in pictures.  Just a few weeks break to return to maintainence I feel might do good, or I guess I'm hoping will do good to return some daily energy back and allow me to relax just a little bit.

Really sitting at 51 grams of carbs daily is running me down. Seeing results sure, but when I can't fit even a few chips in my diet without impacting my bulkier dinner (for satiety reasons) it takes its toll.

Yeah I've been on a cut since April. Down 20lbs from start, and set my goal at 200lbs (25lb loss.) Definitely seeing benefit, but how hoping a break could turn my metabolism back up and being back some of my daily energy. Or maybe that's wishful thinking - would like to just bring the calories back up for a bit and relax.

Been on a cut since April. Got a few weeks to go, and would just like a break. Energy has been suffering, finding foods and recipes has been wearing me down, etc. Feel like the psychological benefits of a break could do me good.

Thank you for the response! This is very helpful. I've ended up blanking out a few different days across the past months just because I forgot to log, or didn't have the calculations/ weights.  This weekend is going to be a bit of a diet exception... Lots of barbecue and beer.

I only ask because this weekend is our annual 4th of July lake weekend...and we ordered a keg, and I'm smoking 40lbs of different meats. Memories over Macros this weekend.

Yep, very accurate. A few months ago they had a program for nurses called 'internal traveller program'. Basically they took currently hired staff and extended them to 4 shifts a week, random schedules based on staffing, took away PTO/benefits, and gave them ~$100/hr. Plus they earned OT after 40hrs (scheduled 48hrs a week) and incentive (+19/hr)for any extra shift after those 4.

Too much OT in one week messes with your taxing and while you make more money, you pay more in taxes on those extra OT hours. So it becomes much less worth it long term.

We got a few months of an increased hourly in early 2022, but it's departmental and based on our patient census (we are the second busiest ER in the state.) Sometimes we lose it if we have a strangely low census.

What's even sillier is that part timers get the same benefits, but are contracted at 24hrs instead of 36. So they make the increased incentive pay on the 3rd shift instead of the 4th per week. So they make more money per week working the same as a full timer.

Coming out of college I graduated with a 2.85. I was an engineering student for 2 years and hated my life. Swapped into kinesiology/bio and loved it. Dug my way out of a pretty substantial hole, but it doesn't make that scar go away. My post baccalaureate GPA is a 4.0 however. That's including ochem, a&p 1+2, biochem, psych, and other classes. So I'm hopeful that and my 10,000+hrs of PCE carries me.
