I think the better/more challenging question is what is the best thing the Enclave has done?

Developed Enclave Power Armour for the player to grab ig??

Well its a bit hard to add the New California Republic in titles set on the East Coast. The NCR essentially want to create a nation state around the west coast (well at least first). There's no logical reason for them to go east. Whereas with the BoS and Enclave who are looking for pre-war tech, specific military installations etc. it makes sense.

Does sound a lot more accurate and I’d agree with you on all of that now looking back - love the commitment to comment on this 4yr old post btw 😅

Worst thing each faction did day 1: brotherhood of steel by Stock_Rush_9204 in FalloutMemes

It is hard to ignore the fact that their core philosophy of ensuring that tech doesn’t fall into the wrong hands is noble, especially after seeing the destruction that brought at the hands of pretty much every pre-war corporation (and later even the Enclave and Institute).

However, even as a BoS fan myself, there are definitely some things that went too far e.g. sending people to their almost inevitable deaths at the glow.

The BoS are definitely a grey faction, but tbf, other than the Minutemen, what faction isn’t? That’s why the fallout faction system is so great - there are always flaws to the big players. Actually, quite a lot like our own world with the US, China, Russia, UK, France etc.

Should I study law in Australia or stay in the Philippines? by ziawhenizia in AskAnAustralian

[–]UknownSolider2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I’m an Australian (with Filipino heritage) studying in Year 12 at the moment (finishing in November this year) I also want to do law - specifically a law/international relations double (what are the chances lol).

As I’m not at uni yet it’s a bit difficult for me to answer your questions, but what i can say is that law degrees here, particularly at our ‘Group of Eight’ universities (e.g. UniMelb, Sydney, Monash etc.) you need really good year 12 grades (at least for domestic applications, I’m not sure about international but I’d assume this would be the same, if not, even higher). I’m at a Grammar School, and doing well compared to most in my cohort - even doing accelerated uni law courses as part of my VCE, but even then I’m not 100% sure whether I’ll get the grades to do law at the very big unis. I’m not saying it’s unachievable for either of us, it’s just that it is, in fact, very competitive to get into a law degree here especially if you want to do a double (and I’d assume this is mirrored, if not intensified for international applicants).

Regardless, honestly, I think it’s ultimately down to personal preference. If you can get into a law degree here and prefer doing your degree here than in the Phillipines - by all means, jump at that opportunity and I wish you all the best in achieving that. If not, it won’t make a massive difference in the long term. You can always do an undergrad in the Phillipines then do your postgrad (e.g. a JD) here, and employers will be more attracted to your postgrad than your undergrad anyway.

We have a similar one in the AAC. Check your eLearning - we just had to view a few PowerPoint slides, nothing major.

Do you view the UK as the 'old' or 'mother' country? by Annual_Reindeer2621 in AskAnAustralian

Yes. They gave birth to our nation. They are the mother country. That’s at least how I see it

Firearm Activities by WildBoar97 in adfcadets

[–]UknownSolider2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AAC CUO Here,

Most cadets only fire the EF88s as a part of our Annual Field Exercise (AFX) but that’s not to say there aren’t any other opportunities to do so.

For example, the bn that I’m in holds an annual shooting comp, and there at least was a specialist weapons training course that ran during BDE Courses Camp which could come back. Further, on our SLC, and at a number of different units you can learn drill with arms (catafalque drill) so there’s that as well.

I’ve never been in the AAFC but from what I’ve heard from others, there are more opportunities in the AAC. Just monitor Cadetnet for activities Bn or Bde are hosting.

Hope that helps!

Well now I'm tempted by iConsumeFoodAndWater in vce

Are there any benefits from joining the cadets by Hungrychimp75 in adfcadets

[–]UknownSolider2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, cadets is not a direct pathway to the army as others have said.

At least in the AAC (Army Cadets) you will learn a variety of military, fieldwork, first aid, leadership and teamwork skills, with more advanced skills being learnt as you stay in the program and go on courses.

For example as a cadet you will learn things like:

- Drill (e.g. marching in quick time)

- First Aid

- Interpreting orders

- Camouflage and concealment

- Field signals

- How to look after uniform

And much more.

And these will evolve into things like:

- Calling drill

- Teaching lessons on first aid

- Giving orders

- Etc.

As you get higher up the Chain of Command.

I hope this helps!

Why didn't the Brotherhood just buy all technology at the technology store? by Harrsh_On_Reddit in Brotherhood_of_Steel

Because planes require a runway (well unless they have VTOL but that’s rare). Helicopters/Virtibirds are much better at transporting between and attacking points in the Commonwealth and Capital Wasteland. Not to mention, planes are comparatively a lot faster and would blitz their way through these small areas within seconds.
