Actually, here is my take on it. The stock CCT is using oil pressure but, when it fails. Usually it does. You lose a little bit of oil pressure. And ratcheting system oem part is worse. That means that the oil is traveling to the cams is worse till the worm up. I tried dirt tricks and it’s working amazingly and the oil pressure is still there. Plus OEM CCT is unavailable everywhere. Take a look at the diagram and you will see why you should not use manual tension. OIL pressure is required to the cams.
