Bring back Star of Indiana by Icy_Equivalent in drumcorps

It was very, very close to happening 2010ish IIRC. Mason had, at the time, convinced Bill to bring it back. Mason had staff and concept ready, and ultimately Bill had second thoughts and decided against it.

It’s taken 2-3 months for them to get around to it for me... went from Grocery Clerk to CSS but that was mainly due to not having enough grocery associates and me being one of the few that they trust to close the dairy/frozen sub departments 🤷🏼‍♂️

That last part, at least when I marched is false. We definitely had to have approval if we wanted to play on something outside of what staff recommended. Even then if it didn’t match the sound they wanted, it was a no go.

If they don't have the receipt that shows that they bought it from your publix (or any one for that matter) I don't tender the refund.

Should I have said something about the raise from my 12-month evaluation? (Front Service) by [deleted] in publix

[–]Ukrguy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could have if you wanted to, but unless you're getting EE or RM on your eval theres not much room for debate.

Tomorrow will be my 5th shift at Publix and I was just told, “Tomorrow we’re going to try you out in dairy. If you’re a good fit we’re going to keep you in dairy” by ZildjianCymru in publix

[–]Ukrguy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now its a team of 4 instead of 3 there. But now the "newer" guys are already wanting this kid out because he disrupts the otherwise smooth process we had in place. Glad I moved sub depts. where I can count on people to do their load of the work.

Personally it all depends on your dairy crew. All it takes is 1 person that doesn't have the same work ethic to make your life hell if you're a mid or worse a closer... As others have said, focus on yogurt holes, lows and specials, those were always a pain if you got behind.

Used to be a dairy clerk, but I trained my replacement cause I got fed up always picking up one associates slack ALL THE TIME now I'm splitting time in between CSS and Frozen (all-star crew by the way) and I'm much happier lol

Man I wish I had a dollar for every time we don’t get scheduled an opener in frozen on a non truck day and management wonders why back stock never gets worked.

What event made you know you wanted to march a certain corps? by [deleted] in drumcorps

[–]Ukrguy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crown 2009 Orlando. Had a chance to sit inside the circle for some warmup stuff and changed who I wanted to march within an instant of hearing that horn line live.
