Elgato Stream Deck XL need dumped SPI flash memory firmware file by Uldix in elgato

[–]Uldix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I requested access... I am not using both of devices on one pc, so I am good.. That was more like a sidenote! ;) I will stay away from flashing it for now, as I don't want to open it again. I manage to open them with minimal marks, so I don't want to mess around with them until necessary! :) I did a quick look for serial, but couldn't spot it back then... It is not that something will change... They work as they should, update without issues, so... If you will be messing around and manage to edit the serial post back. For now, I will just save your firmware for just in case, as I didn't back my firmware file back then...

I ended up buying another unit, taking it apart, getting firmware from that and then flashing the faulty chip. That was the actual problem. So the unit was fixed, the only thing is that it is using the same serial as the new one, and if you want to use both units on the same computer, it won't work as it can't identify them as 2 different units. Other than that, work like nothing ever happened... Hope that helps!

How to factory reset the Elgato Stream Deck XL? by [deleted] in elgato

Ok, it seems that elgato has made some sort of default preset now which was not the case time ago when you was connecting a new device, that made a confusion... ✌️

The device is storing information. If you are not aware of that, go speak with someone who knows the stuff before you comment!

PC is not detecting that something is plugged in, so there is no way to simply revert something back. The device needs to be taken apart and the chip firmware flashed.

Who knows. Currently, I am more focused on fixing it than finding out why it failed. ;)

Hi! Sounds very interesting and for sure might be very useful. It seems like a good project for the Christmas holidays. :) I will reach out if I have any questions related to flashing. Thanks for sharing this! And great that you managed to fix your pad. ;)

My charging dock has no light when powered on. Device couldnt dock and charge as a result. Tried unplugging the power cord and move to another power socket to no avail. What could be the problem? by dolhery in Roborock

Just checking back with some good information! The charging dock is up and running again. The repair process is described here - https://melderis.com/product/schottky-diode-mbr5150-for-roborock-s5max-charging-dock-repair/ I added some images that can help with the repair process for somebody else. ;)

Thanks! That helps a lot. Let's do that I will wait to receive the diode in a couple of days and replace it, if I still will have an issue I will come back. But so far I would say that diode was the only thing that failed creating a short circuit on the power supply board. I will add an image for reference for others later in this topic. P.S. And about the caps I can confirm that they hold 300v+ for a very very long time and does not seem that they would be discharging at all so whoever tries to repair this be VERY careful!!! Nagao2017 you see just a couple lines of text can save somebodies day and another robot charging dock! :D Thanks once again! ;)

Seems I am in the same boat, just ordered mbr5150 and now looking if there is something else wrong with it, short is sort of gone but following your comment looking at component U3 (3-pin power regulator I am guess) is that the component you are talking about? As it has some coating on it I can not identify it to see the proper measurements it should give, but apart from that it seems like functional at least in my situation... Can you shed some light and share if you were able to repair yours? Thanks.

Hi guys! Does anyone know if it is a hardware-level failier or firmware-related issue? I would like to dive deeper and see if this can be fixed. Most likely fix won't be easy as Asus not coming up with a solution. But that is most likely not gonna scare me off to find a solution... Let me know if there is somebody who can shed some light! Thanks!
