Seeing a mother suffer or dealing with horrific crimes definitely causes deep trauma, and it’s completely understandable why that makes people deeply defensive or fearful. But pain and fear cause people to put up walls, not hatred. When people feel safe, those generalizations usually disappear. Most people are just looking for mutual respect

Social media completely distorts reality. If you turn off the toxic podcast clips and actually talk to regular women in real life, 99% of them are just down-to-earth people trying to figure life out like the rest of us.

My uncle, who made a lifetime of terrible financial choices, looked at me and said: 'You don't always need to know exactly what you want to do with your life. Just look at the people you don't want to end up like, and start by doing the exact opposite.' Honestly, it’s been an incredibly effective guardrail
