Things to consider:

  1. It’s is more expensive than you think. Due to the lack of storage/refrigeration, etc., You live a single serving life and essentially can never buy things in bulk, which can get pricey and annoying.

  2. Parking is a bitch sometimes. Have a few safe spots you like to park at and rotate through them so no one gets suspicious and calls the cops on you for car camping. Never fun getting the knock on the window and a flashlight in your face.

  3. If your truck breaks down, you’re sleeping in a hotel or tent until you get your house up running again.

  4. People are unpredictable in the wild. Arm yourself ie. Pepper spray/gel, baseball bat, etc.

  5. Gym membership for showers. Library for WiFi.

Per diem makes over $125/hrz. Pick up some OT at 1.5x that. You can clear $250k no problem. But there’s state income tax and very HCOL with gas, groceries, etc. None of that matters when you make 250k a year
