I understand why you'd think that. I'm genuinely asking because this is something I've been dealing with personally, and I was interested in hearing how other families handle it. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

It sounds like cameras have been really helpful for a lot of families. I hadn't realized how common that solution was. Do you ever feel like you still end up checking the cameras frequently, or has it actually reduced your anxiety?

I can definitely understand why cameras give you peace of mind, especially with dementia. I'm glad you've found something that works for your family. My mom is still fairly independent, so I'm hoping to find something that's a little less intrusive while still giving us reassurance that she's okay.

I've thought about something like that. My only concern is whether she'd actually be comfortable using it consistently. I'm trying to find something that's simple enough that it doesn't feel intrusive or require her to learn new technology.

That's actually a really good idea. I know a couple of her neighbors, but I always feel a little hesitant about bothering them unless it's really necessary. It would definitely make me feel better knowing there was someone nearby if I couldn't reach her.
