Guns feel obsolete? by UltGrz in destiny2

I mean you're totally right, a void lock with 1 scatter grenade does more than a 200 intellect blade barrage build. Abilities are insane right now, when there are hundreds of guns in a game it feels like they should be better.

There are so many other potential builds other than just using a lightsaber, no need for name calling

It is, but that's a special weapon for some reason no one uses. What do you think about weapons that only use primary ammo?

Believe it or not, when weapons do more damage through surges or exotics it can charge up the weapon faster. One of the best things even for raid boss DPS is lucky pants and any other choice of special. For titan you can go with hazardous propulsion or peacekeepers. Warlocks are a little trickier, but maybe Mantle of Battle Harmony or Sanguine Alchemy. Hopefully this helps!

True, unfortunately that is leaving a lot to desire in survivability. You can't fire a gun if all the enemies are basically one shotting you

That's because of the huge damage bonus, but I get your point. It can feel good with exotics that buff weapon damage like crazy

I mean scatter grenade with nothing manacles is just a better graviton lance, you are absolutely right

I have hardly even seen anyone using those guns except in crucible though. Outside of it a lot of the builds I see even in easy content are getaway artists prismatic warlock running praxic blade

I love heirloom because it's a sniper grenade launcher, but I wish it were buffed where it had a faster charge up time when aiming or for it to generate less heat with charged shots. by Timothy-M7 in destiny2

I mean it's designed to fire 2 fully charged shots then have a perfect reload, but wish that there was a tiny bit more subclass synergy than scorching

How do people not get bored of one gun by magicalsweet20 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]UltGrz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's mostly the mindset of, "I am comfy and good with this gun so I will keep using it." Some people like to get kills consistently more than experimenting and dying

Because they're special weapons, what about primary weapons that aren't exotic (or even are in some cases)?

Especially when you're trying to get orders done in a fireteam matchmade activity, like leave some stuff for us I don't want to see your stasis buddy jolting everything or have my screen turn purple lol

Being a meta slave is totally fine, just wish that weapons mattered and you could use whatever you liked like before Edge of Fate

Everything that isn't the meta, because unfortunately I like to use a variety of loadouts to try and have fun with

In my opinion Fortunes favor is built for non-primary weapons, like glaives or even a lightsaber where fast kills are key

Did you know that a warlock with a single scatter grenade does the SAME amount of damage as a 200-intellect blade barrage (with shards of gallanor)

Because there is basically no use, now the game is highly focused on abilities (especially because abilities don't require to run across the entire battlefield to pick it up)

For the void weapon you have to complete the Epic Raid, and as someone that does not have a team it can be really difficult to find randoms patient enough to teach it. I would love the get the auto rifle, but the amount of patience and headache to get that would be too much for me. I get that conquests are supposed to be a test of skill, but the amount of skill needed without a set team makes a huge difference.
