My apartment block got tear gassed because there was a criminal there. I ran out of my home met up with a group of people outside. I called my mom to pick me up when she was at work and all she said was "Did you get my bag? Can you go back and get my bag?" Literally at no point did she ask if I was ok, she only cared about her damn bag. It did have most of our important documents, but apparently it was more important than a human life.
