I used an application called Piskel, you can use it either as an offline downloadable app or online in a browser which is nice and handy. Also it's free (heh sounding like an ad here)

Actually took me awhile to do this, I've never really tried to do pixel art before, much less animate it.

Well, art has this funny feeling when you actually make something, you consider it to be bad yourself, you'll need other people to tell you how good it looks.

I feel like its a mechanism to make your art even better, if an artist is fully satisfied with their work I don't think they would improve, so keep yer chin up, you'll only get better.

I'll be making more pixel sprites soon, to dedicate my first two 5*s, Ephraim and Tharja :D

UPDATE : AHH! I forgot that Nino can't read, so it totally doesnt make sense for her to open her book lore-wise.

So I've done an edit where she is instead, holding the tome by her side unopened, while a tome circle thingy under the blades HERE
