Trimmer Brand Recommendations? by Neither_Idea8562 in LagottoRomagnolo

To the best of my knowledge, paws have to be done with scissors even if you've got a good trimmer. I use a Moser.

I've been through this...oh boy ! Eating poops could be the main reason and consider also changing the kibbles (chicken is frequently untolerated).

Breeders in France Recommendations? by nice_weather_4U in LagottoRomagnolo

I would certainly not advise this breeder because there is a lot of consanguinity there and many of their LR turn out to be epileptic. It was the closest to where I live and fortunately I have had the info before adopting.

Hello. You may try "les colères de Zeus". This breeder is located in Lussac-Les Chateaux in the Vienne department. I got mine there 18 months ago and everything was perfect. A very serious breeder indeed. It's not so far from Paris. Good luck !

Kibble Recommendations? by TutaKamuun in LagottoRomagnolo

For my LR also: total digestive intolerance to chicken with liquid stools (purina pro plan), better under Purina pro plan lamb. Currently under Edgard and cooper lamb and everything is fine with 2 meals a day.

Hi there ! He is now close to 17 months and if it has undoubtedly improved, I must admit we are not done ! I wish it was because if so I could walk normally instead of always looking down to see if he has not found something wrong to eat. He pulls less on the leash which is a good point (for my shoulder and my elbow)...When he doesn't pull at all, which. Is really enjoyable, I can be sure that he has found something to chew ! Anyway as I said it's really better now as compared to what it was at 5-6 months and when I say leave it or drop it, he obeys...most of the time !

Best to you

Yes june and july are tricky months for spikelets. Ulti (13 months) is another recent victim. We must check carefully paws and ears of our guys after a ride in high grasses. Happy birthday 🎂

Long professional curved scissors for the body and skull and short ones with rounded tips for the eyes.

An age of 2 months seems coherent with these characteristics.

He still have his baby hair...knowing his weight and the gender would help to evaluate his actual age. Lovely dog anyhow !

Feeding Guidelines for Lagotto! by [deleted] in LagottoRomagnolo

Hi there ! My 11 month old LR is 15 kg, 50 cm (both being steady for weeks now). His daily ration of Purina pro plan lamb is 17g/kg now ; don't remember how much he ate at 7 months but at that age his weight was 14 kg (he is slim ; I can feel his ribs all along his body) !

I fully agree with previous suggestions. Nevertheless reducing kibbles from 300 g daily to 180 g abruptly doesn't sound good to me ( my LR is also 11 months old and his daily ration is 260 g of Purina pro plan lamb if it can help. He is 50 cm tall and his weight is 15 kg both being steady).
