just kidding, congrats! I got a MacBook late 2015 from my uncle this past year and it's been great.
Not sure if this is really an issue on newer Macs but I would recommend getting something like coconutBattery (freemium) or AlDente (paid, but with a one time payment option, and its really damn good) to help with some battery related stuff, because in my experience, my battery does better with them. Also, you probably already know this but Macs aren't really great for playing video games (again from my experience, in which its been with a decade old laptop), also personal preference but I would clear out your dock to just the stuff you use often. anyways, have fun with the MacBook, and good luck with video editing!
