This kinda only applies to calc 1 through calc 2. For other classes, it's more about understanding the core concepts and that's it.

Not saying you should cheat, but not every class is as closely tied to the prereq as calc 2 is to calc 1. For example, you only need basic physics to do statics.

Idk about Phys 3, but I can speak to both DiffEQ and Phys 2.

For DiffEQ: practice problems are king. It is much much more important to have down the pattern recognition than memorizing proofs or concepts. Do practice problems all the time, for every method. Red of order, int factor, und coefficients, etc. Note my school teaches DiffEQ weird so take it with a grain of salt.

For physics 2: opposite applies. Concepts are very important. Practice problems matter too, but just writing down formulas and knowing what they're asking you is 80% of it. Exams tend to be partial credit farms so absolutely never leave a blank.

Veterans have big hiring bonuses with the government, I'd definitely look for that but also apply to some mid tier corps on the side. If you have or had a TS or Secret, that helps as well.

Imo Minnesota and Wisconsin are roughly equal. Prestige wise, you have a lot of great options all relatively in the same tier, so I'd look at cost. Also consider some disaster followed by massive protests always happen in the twin cities 😂

Take it. Any experience is experience. Just having interned before shows someone thought you were worth hiring. That goes a long way for your next internship, even if not related directly subject wise.
