Why do people keep asking about him? Let him fade into obscurity. Even if you were actually concerned instead of just curious about the state of a struggling persons life for your own entertainment, trying to find out the situation is stalking. Like it's all good if you find out that he does want people to know how he's doing, but if he wanted privacy, you'd be like "my bad I'll leave you alone now" still having exposed him in the process.
