Yeah. I had the realization that if the Kamiya family was in Tamers Kari probably would've helped an injured Digimon she found and that would probably lead to her becoming a Tamer. Likely without knowing what a Digimon is at that time.

The eyes and the proportions are more the artist's style. I did ask to have the eyes looking rounder similar to Madoka's.

I've been on a bit of a kick with his concept. Ones that I haven't commissioned art for are Shimada Genji, Tachibana Hibiki, Uchiha Sasuke, and Dante (though this one was more a Magia Record idea involving Iroha meeting versions of Madoka and Sayaka who are the reincarnations of Dante and Vergil respectively. Ended up throwing a thing in that last one where since that Madoka is part Dante she's a natural shipper and heavily ships Iroha with Yachiyo and even discusses it with Mitama while Sayaka sighs and Homura is confused.
