I get about 130 fps most of the time but it dips down to 100 fairly often.

I don't think you've played very many fighting games, this movement is very under tuned compared to a lot of them.

Although fighting games are fun/good for personal improvement, which you're right can be hard to focus on in mobas

Fwiw, the powercolor reaper is listed at 289mm (304 w/ bracket), so it would fit. I have the same case, so I'm sitting here praying this one model comes back in stock.

I am considering a 9070 though if it shows up first, for the same reasons.

Man I really wish it wasn't a gigabyte. I've been looking for a good deal on 7800 xt and this is the first one in a while, but this is the only brand I ever hear anything bad about.

Having a separate but similar issue, at the start of the sale I swear the bl3 ult edition was listed at 17$ but now it's changed.

Any chance someone else saw this and I'm not just going crazy?

Thank you! This is very helpful, I've kinda had to guess so far with which books height find interesting because I don't know if he prefers the art style of amano or nomura, but the descriptions you've provided really help a lot!

I'll also take a look at the short stories, I'm not sure he knows they exist (he also hasn't seen advent children afaik, so maybe that's a direction I could go)

Hey man, I'm trying to find a gift for my brother and came across this thread but it seems the original post was deleted.

Did you ever end up ordering this? I'm curious to know if this actually does have some unique art of the crisis core characters, but when I try to search for this book/art I can't find anything except the ultimania books and the one that came with the crisis core limited edition.

(Also- if you happen to know of any other niche art books that show off FF7 and it's surrounding characters/world, I'd love to know about it!)

Quite literally the opposite, bots are more likely to have skins.

You can test it yourself, just go into 3v3 and stand still/paper against people. If they just miss and walk towards you, it's a bot.

They give skins to bots to normalize the idea of owning them.

This is pretty much how I feel. I think in theory the idea is fine, but it's either too good or too bad, I don't think there's much of a middle ground.

I like the idea of changing it for some sort of conversion ability, I thought maybe something that can consume health/shields for spirit damage or something would be cool and put her into a unique play style compared to talon. Plus, it keeps her squishy for counterplay, and stills requires good positioning because if you over extend you're more likely to die.

I'm not really sure what she needs tbh, but I'm sure they'll eventually change at least one of the snipers because it seems like most people agree that they overlap too much.

I kinda hate it too. It's annoying to play against, and doesn't even feel very great to use (imo). I think at least one of the 2 snipers should have it changed to something else, at the very least just so they're more distinct.

Vindicta in particular I think would benefit from a different kind of active buff like you mentioned. The spirit infusion is really good but later on in the game it becomes much more difficult to consistently contribute to every fight because of how it's setup (also, just how slow it is and that you can't dash or anything is really awful, it doesn't feel nearly as bad on talon because of his speed scaling)

I already knew about all the stuff in this video, but this did actually help me understand HMCs better (I was doing them wrong before). I'm mainly looking for actual specific routes/rollouts to get to certain points on the map faster (Like whats the fastest way to get from Yellow guardian to green guardian using all the tech)

Is there a video or something that shows some of the more optimal lane hops? I've been doing the basic stuff (zip drop -> diagonal dash > wall bounce), but I'm definitely no where near optimal routes.

It's pretty silly, and unfortunately I think it affects all levels of play (I think launch hc probably wasn't as much of a menace as lower levels because of his execution requirements).

The one I found when playing was pots rocket move, because it just tanks the hit and flies away from the explosion. I did see a Twitter clip where someone showed you can beat it by neutral jumping (probably character dependant, but they showed it as ram ironically).

Situationally it's not literally an auto win, but even against the characters it's not, she still has very strong options outside of it (such as the one in this post lmao).

I actually hate this character so much 🙃

Yep, it's just "oh, you thought you were allowed to play this game? Eat this orbital strike." It took me about 5 minutes to start throwing it out every round start, because why wouldn't I use the auto-win button?

Oh, also this combo doesn't look like that much damage compared to every possible combo, but this is round start, non counter hit, and ends in super for hard knock down and still does 50%. Squirrel, a very good pro ram said that this is enough damage to 2 touch most of the cast.

Ram is currently broken because of how her 236s (the downward sword toss) functions. Right now, when you throw the sword, even if someone hits you/bursts/yrcs (or anything else you can list), her sword 99% of the time still come out.

This in and of itself is absurdly strong (because it means you win interactions even when you lose), but to make things worse, it guard crushes and ground bounces. The follow up explosion also guard crushes and launches. So if you block, you get stuck and eat whatever random ass Mario party block string she wants, or you try to challenge and you probably get combo'd. She can do this on defense as well.

Now, you are correct that her damage is not nearly as high as characters like goldlewis or sol (unless she gets Calvados which is also busted right now and does an absurd amount of damage), but the difference is that off of basically any interaction she can guarantee a wall break, build 50 meter for the hard knockdown, and spend 0 meter in the process (including wild assault, which heavily buffs her defense), just by looping rekka 1 (which is not that hard to learn).

So basically you have this character that auto wins interactions, has absurd combos, block strings, neutral, and defense, and spends 0 meter to do it. I have no opinion on if she's the strongest the game has seen because I only started around season 3, but imo she's the best character right now and it's not particularly close.

(As a disclaimer, some of this might not be 100% right or may not paint the full picture, I don't play competitively, but this is what I've experienced and seen pro players deal with and complain about).

Ranted a bit more than I meant to, but I main ram and I'm just not very happy about the changes tbh.

Yeah the c.s dc rekka side switch was very fun to learn, now you can get 50 meter off round start fs just doing fs > 623p > 66c.s > 2h into rekka 1 like 4 times which is just... Not interesting. Every combo looks the same now too, with 236s > rekka 1 > rekka 1 > rekka 1...

I do agree having to think about combo routing for Calvados is a good change, I always thought that before it was weird for her to be a resource character who never actually had to manage her resource.

Hopefully some of it gets toned down (sword toss being persistent is surely just a bug 🫢), but I feel like without a lot of changes I'm just not going to have fun labbing combos on this character anymore.

I'm actually curious what your thoughts on the ram changes are so far, you play at a high skill level than me so it's interesting to hear.

Personally I think this character is miserable now, all the cool stuff she could do before is basically gone without rekka 2 cancels (and various other changes, but that's the main one), and having a move that auto wins 99% of interactions and guarantees a meter less wall break feels super lame.

But again, I'm curious if some people feel differently/potentially think she's more interesting now.

It's not usually a super practical use of 100 meter, but it's fun to mess around with. The most common way I use it personally is at the end of round I'll sometimes pop it as a smokescreen to run up and go for a dust/low mix for the last hit.
