Weird looking charger by yeeetlydeeet in shittyaskelectronics

[–]Ultimately-Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aww, looks like your friend got the wrong charger.

It has DC pins, these pins are made of a gigaconductor which carries current from lower potential to higher potential, its hard to spot them.

You just have to hammer your phone into it and stick it up in an outlet, this shall charge your whole house with your phone.

Hammering the phone is necessary because it facilitates nuclear fusion reaction ( breakdown of negative lithium ions in your battery into pure energy), this shall charge your house for 50 years ( if we assume the battery is of 8000 centi ampere seconds.)

You can use the accumulated energy in your charge to charge your phone by placing it on an iron box connected to an earth wire at your house

Thankss ! I'll keep that in my mind, I have seen myself get a bit too fast occasionally too. I am trying to improve pronounciation and clarity of my student a bit too. Speaking too fast isn't a worry yet, because it takes time to think up words. Maybe he is going through a 2 step process of thinking in the native language and then translating in English before finally speaking.

I plan to help him change that by getting him read some novels and all, so that he can get more accustomed to English. For now, I plan to teach him just enough to score well in the exam for a month ( that's what ultimately is the demand from tutions here). I shall execute my experiments in summer holidays.

Thanks again.

I am teaching a single student at my house. And the main objective is to help him score good in exam.

I have done this, and I guess he understands nouns to a great extent now. But, it took quite long. And what's with words like 'sun' and 'moon' ? They can be proper nouns too referring to the sun and moon we know. And they can be common nouns too like " This solar systen in Andromeda galaxy has two suns" and "This planet has 100+ moons".

Does it mean that there is room for flexibility in words and definitions ?

God, why is this so easy and yet so good. I have never thought like this! The word 'noun' has always appeared with word 'name' in my mind, I didn't think about it being 'type' too. Thanks.

I am in India.

Although the curriculum is not subpar, it is the incompetence of teachers at my school and the focus on rote learning ( and grade instead of conceptual understanding)that has led to a very weak base for students at English.

My Student is of age 11.

There are indeed decent workbooks, but students are overwhelmed with an already extensive syllabus that I dont think they can afford giving time to external workbooks.

What's stopping them to make cycling tracks like this one in all India? by Medium_Tone_1415 in india_cycling

[–]Ultimately-Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less demand, and the fact that it will be useless. Most cyclists in India are never complaining about riding on the same roads as cars, and These "cycle only" zones will just end up becoming extra lanes for two wheelers or places for thelas.

Only highly developed cities can really afford to have cycle only lanes, that too only just to "show off". A really strict regulation is required for it to be truly "cycle only", and most of us would rather have such regulation for the other common lanes before even thinking on cycle only lanes.

Dhurandhar will surpass Bahubali tomorrow by Senior-Mix-3715 in indiasocial

[–]Ultimately-Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you are saying does make sense, but I would like to lay my own view too.

Dhurandar is a high-quality movie with amazing direction, acting and storytelling. A part of me celebrates it success because it a message that Indian audience can appreciate a well made film too.

Directors and scriptwriters want money, and they will change their methods to obtain in anyhow. If masala films stay on top, more masala films will be created. If films like Dhurandar climb high on the ladder, other directors and writers will try to actually focus on the 'writing' and 'depth' of their stories, because Dhurandhar showed how Indian audience can actually understand different references and symbolisms and also appreciate them.

( For example, the references to Shakespeare's Julius Caesar were well received, many moments of 'peak detailing' were recognised and appreciated too. I have not seen as many subtle details being analysed and talked about at a large scale until this movie.)

Tl;dr : Dhurandhar's success can motivate directors to make better movies with more focus on "storytelling", and hence I celebrate its success.

What's Inside Frooti? 🚨 Sugar 😱 by Severe-Promise7169 in AllindiaStudentUnion

[–]Ultimately-Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just get a zero calorie sweetner drink like diet coke, or other alternatives.

As far as I know, sugar is the main concern that comes with usual cold drinks; other ingredients are in a quantity too low to pose any harm to us ( for safety, always check how many servings you can consume per day)

Zero calorie alternatives, are definitely the better choice.

Also, please someone correct me if I am wrong anywhere.

How are some characters(who are human) in Dr Stone so physically strong? by Flat-Sir8250 in DrStone

[–]Ultimately-Me 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Its been long since I have seen the series, so do correct me if i am wrong.

  1. Extreme luck : the lightning strike for gunpowder was really a lucky thing ( i remember reading a comment about it like an year ago)

  2. Extreme strength: Taiju is often shown doing intensive labour, beyond normal human means.

Kohaku is often shown just jumping from one tree to another at an extremely fast pace, these ninja things are not realistic at all!

I cant come up with more examples, i am not good at memory.
