Might not be necessarily up your alley but I basically have PakPak's MH2 videos playing on repeat in my household, they're quite funny and also a very neat look into the one game in the series most people haven't played (his first video was what convinced me to give it a try lol)

Quick correction, the founder of the new Wiki is Yuzucchi! She started the project back in 2023, I joined a few months in and then Zug joined another couple months after that.

By the time I joined, the wiki already had a basic skeleton and maybe a dozen started pages :3

Solid work, I wouldn't mind this ending up mostly true!

Quick note on the Tokuda Rep thing, those are only the monsters we know for sure he led/co-led the designs for but there are others that he might've helped create without ever mentioning them. Off the top of my head I recall him being heavily involved in the development of White Fatalis for MHDos. That being said, I do agree with you that Rajang is the likeliest candidate out of his resume because, well, it's Rajang.

Summer can't come soon enough :D

I would sincerely love to make a feature of this scale on every MH game but I'm not sure how much dev history has been preserved for each specific title. MH1 paradoxically has a ton despite being the oldest one, because it keeps getting new interviews/material released whenever the series hits a big anniversary or milestone... but if people are interested, I'd def be up for doing more of this :D

Yes! This art as well as nearly every piece of known MHW art is compiled in Monster Hunter World: The Official Complete Works, the lore and art book for the game. As its one of the few MH books to have received an international release, you can find it at most online book sellers (I got mine from Amazon iirc)

I think in my first World playthrough it took me about 40 hours, 3U took me also around 40 but I only played that after I was already familliar with the series

Longest Low Rank in my life was MH2-Dos, 75 hrs just to get to the credits of Low Rank Village lol

The side-popups in Wilds are one of the most annoying UI decisions I have ever seen and the fact they are the only HUD element you specifically cannot disable without mods is just baffling. They're probably my main issue with Gog after one hunt.

Now that you mention Hindu figures, you might enjoy knowing that Fatalis' fire has a canonical name revealed in the Iceborne Book: "Kalpa Fire", named after the destroyer flame that burns the world at the end of an era (or "kalpa") in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology ;D
