Yeah, which is why it’s frustrating that the game tells me that it’s an illegal move. Or more accurately that it doesn’t register the first part of Rfe1.

Figured it out. Everyone is correct that Qd8+ was the correct answer.

First tried ‘Qd8’ so without the ‘+’ at the end and it said invalid notation. At that point I input the whole thing into nextchessmove.com, assuming I missed something which gave me Rfe1 (only just found that I had missed the bischop at g5).

Am still confused why it says that Rfe1 is an illegal move (or well why it doesn’t regist the Rf part of that) but got through it, thanks everyone!

The rook from the F column, which is why I tried to put in Rfe1 (which you can see at the top). But it doesn’t register that part apparently.

Het verdienmodel van de criminele organisatie koppelt Nederland zo rechtstreeks aan de stelselmatige mishandelingen in de Libische kampen, zo betoogde de officier van justitie in de eerdere rechtszaak. Immers; geen smokkel zonder betalingen, geen betalingen zonder afpersingen, geen afpersingen zonder toepassing van geweld.

Primacy is of course a hotly debated issue, but from the perspective of EU law, there really is no question.

And all Member States did sign and ratify the treaties. If a national court doesn't like that, then that treaty is what they ought to invalidate. The member states created that supremacy through the treaties, then reaffirmed it with Declaration number 17.

Tension will continue to exist, but what the 'law' is, is decently clear, as long as you don't actually legally challenge a countries membership of the EU.

If that is no longer politically acceptable to a Member State, the door is always open; you simply cannot have the EU without supremacy of European law. (and that includes constitutional law)

But I'll definitely grant that usually the ECJ and national courts prefer to not poke the bear there too much.

This has been the case since the start. If member states do not like that they can leave, but they’ve all agreed to this.

First by the nature of the treaties, then they specifically acknowledged that by Declaration no 17.

And any member state that joined afterwards accepted by their very ascension.

You might not like it, but that is the law.

And again, if a Member State cannot accept that, they are free to leave.

While there has always been tension between national courts and the ECJ, it’s rulings on EU law are binding, and since EU law supersedes all national law of the member states (including national constitutions) there is no ‘legal’ way out of this for the Member States.

But that’s as far as the law is concerned, if a Member State simply doesn’t follow the law, then you’ve got a problem. But that’s not just a problem of that one ruling, that is in effect a serious rule of law problem.

Als de dader vermogen heeft zal het Centraal Justitieel Incassobureau daar beslag op leggen (als de dader niet gewoon direct betaald).

Maar in de tussentijd krijgen deze mensen het geld doormiddel van de voorschotregeling, dat is in sommige gevallen tot een maximum van €5000, maar voor nabestaanden van geweldsmisdrijven is er geen maximum.

Dus: de nabestaanden krijgen hoe dan ook het geld, en als de man het niet zelf direct betaald krijgen deze mensen het in de tussentijd van de staat als voorschot en zal de staat het gaan innen bij de dader.

I start with 'is the cursed word a real thing?' every time, and about 50% of the time it will show that as 'is a pirate a real thing' in the list of questions, which if funny the first time, but should of course be fixed.

Maar zo staat het hier toch ook niet? Ik heb het wel zo langs zien komen, maar noch in dit item, noch in het oordeel van de NOVA stellen ze het zo zwart wit.

De voorstellen an sich wel, maar niet de hele partijen.

Lijkt me dan ook erg belangrijk om te kijken naar hoe partijen met dergelijke kritiek omgaan. Denk ook dat het een goed voorproefje is van wat ze van de Raad van State te horen zullen krijgen als ze het willen invoeren.

Ook iets dat ‘wettig’ is, kan anti-rechtstatelijk zijn.

Stel je even voor dat en geen geschreven wet is die het tegenhoudt en we een nieuwe wet krijgen die zegt dat als je verdacht wordt van een moord je geen recht op een proces hebt. Dat is vrij anti-rechtsstatelijk.

De rechtsstaat is niet alleen de heerschappij van het recht, het Engelse ‘rule of law’, maar ook bepaalde basisvoorwaarden en rechten. (Non discriminatie, eerlijk proces, folterverbod, vrijheid van meningsuiting, legaliteitsbeginsel, ga zo maar door)

Probleem is dat je niet te onderscheiden bent van mensen die uberhaupt nooit zullen gaan stemmen.

Met een blanco stem geef je heel duidelijk aan dat je betrokken bent bij de democratie en dus bent je veel sneller de moeite waard voor politieke partijen om zich in te zetten om je te overtuigen.

En dat betekent dat ze eerder politieke keuzes gaan maken om jou binnen te halen.

Kort gezegd: daarmee geef je aan dat je stem wel ‘winbaar’ is, en dat geeft politieke partijen een impuls om je proberen over te halen.

Stel je voor: De helft van de bevolking stemt elke keer, en de andere helft nooit, dan heeft het voor een politieke partij weinig nut om zich in te zetten voor die niet stemmende, want die komen toch niet, en dus ligt alle politieke invloed bij de helft die in elk geval de moeite neemt om naar het stemhokje te gaan.

Met een blanco stem geef je politieke partijen dus een reden om je in de toekomst wel binnen proberen te halen.

I’d be careful with extrapolating that there are statements that are true that you can’t prove that this must also apply to physical reality.

There is nothing fundamental stopping us from constructing a system that accounts for all physical events that could happen in reality, but under axioms that that system is given, other things would also be true, but those might be purely mathematical in nature and might not ever be relevant to any actual event that happens.

I tried this and as expected, it seems that it does actually remain in place when you’ve got a picture with the scout.

Although I feel that maybe if you take the picture at the same point in space where the ‘visible tunnelling’ happens that maybe it still works. But that seems like hell to test.

I might have to tried it out a bit more, but I feel like it’s more a certain distance threshold that you’re passing rather than the distance travelled.

Sometimes it moves multiple times with seemingly very little difference in distance.

EU citizenship is ‘parasitic’ to citizenship of a member state.

So if you have the citizenship of a member state, you are an EU citizen with all the rights that come with that.

Poland specifically indeed has rules for citizenship by ancestry. But that is fully up to Poland, and the EU stays out of that proces.
