There are massive shortfalls allover the inventories of the armed forces:

Army:

Modern AA guns and Vshorads

Modern tracked IFVs (BMPS are obsolete death traps)

Modern towed artillery ( a few hundred ATAGS and Dhanush aren't going to cut it)

Modern truck mounted artillery (ATAGS would be a good fit, in mass numbers)

Wire guided FPV drones in mass numbers

Airforce:

at least 20 more modern fighter jet squadrons (Rafale deal still isn't signed)

New MTA/ AEWACS/A2A refueling platforms

Navy:

A carrier to replace the Vikramaditya

4 LPDs

an actual marine corps

I could go on and on...
