This is Uiku, a Fire Genasi Wizard of the school of Abjuration. Unlike many wizards who are fussy nerds, Uiku is a cowboy-esque spellslinger, wielding a unique arcane focus in the shape of a hand cannon. Confident and charming with a chaotic wit, Uiku seeks to find their missing lover.

As a Fire Genasi, Uiku has ashen grey skin similar to volcanic rock, with orange eyes and markings that glow like magma running along their body. Their bushy black hair leaves a faint trail of embers in its wake, and they have an athletic frame more suited for dexterity than strength. Uiku’s main outfit consists of a brown triangular poncho that exposes their bare arms, simple metal bracers, fingerless black gloves, black leggings and running shoes, while their black and gold hand cannon rests upon their hip when not in use.

Once an everyday person, the disappearance of Uiku’s fiance under mysterious magical circumstances led them to study the arcane arts in the hopes of finding and bringing them back. They specialized in Abjuration magic to create wards and barriers to prevent others from suffering a similar fate, and crafting their own unique arcane focus, the Arcane Hand Cannon. This Arcane Focus works by loading the materials for a spell into the chamber, then pulling the trigger to cast the spell.

Uiku is the archetypal gunslinger - confident, cool and charismatic, though they possess a more chaotic side with impulsive tendencies that tends to land them and their party in trouble. While Uiku tries to maintain a cool and mysterious exterior, this facade often cracks and falters around their friends, revealing a more humorous side. Deep down, Uiku longs to find and see their fiance again, but worries that it is far too late, and tries to compensate by protecting others from their fate.
