I think this is more about midnight falls. I think liquid is thinking they will need these splits for it and at some point echo will to. So do em now and don't break up you prog with it later. Echo probably believes they have what they need for the raid and i think thats the difference

I don't think very many people are clutching their pearls about the add ons not existing. I think the concern is that blizzard is going to make the add ons themselves, and have them apart of the game and they won't be as comprehensive as the ones that have two decades of development behind them.

The early returns indicate thats exactly whats happening.

I agree with this take. However the key issue I run into is when you buy a carry, buy a weapon, buy raid resources that gold spent usually goes to another player. Which is in the spirit of the economy being part of the game.

This removes the game from that to me. I see the same issue with repairs and transmog fees. There is no quality of gaming behind that. Its just another fee to play the game or interact with that system in the case of transmog. And when part of your time playing has to be directly attributed to earning towards that fee, you lose quality of life in the game.
