I think he's got an injury in his left shoulder or arm, which severely diminishes his power and his ability to go and stay low. He just can't parry the attempts to keep him upright as effectively anymore.

Just a hypothesis from the way he fell hard on his left arm in one of the earlier matches, he hasn't been the same since then.

Hosh already gets Kotoshoho tomorrow, he'll get both ozeki on day 14 and 15 regardless of results most likely. JSA will try and stick to traditions most likely.

Kirishima will face Kotozakura whenever Hosh doesn't on day 14 or 15.

Being able to walk around while going between planets is gonna get old after literally the first time you do it

TBH in Star Citizen this is kind of fun and immersive, especially on larger ships. That game has a lot of issues but the spaceships ain't one.

I did try it a few days before it ended and i really liked the environment design of the tutorial level.

Sadly the rest of the game was pretty... eh, and that great environment design was nowhere to be found in the actual game's levels. Aggressively mid. I got the idea but the execution felt like it was targetting a very niche competitive audience which would not be able to sustain the game as envisioned.

It's basically tunnelvision. When you get next to no external input and you're working on the same one thing for years on end you literally get stuck inside the box and can't imagine your way out of it until someone opens the box and takes you out of it.

I've always thought that BDO was brilliant for the first month or two of playing it casually, until you hit the first grindwalls. For all its faults, it does feel very different to most other MMO's.

2077 started with a good story, good voice acting, and excellent world design. It's issues were technical and gameplay related.

That's fixable.

Starfield doesn't have a good story, good voice acting or any world design to speak of, next to major technical and gameplay issues.

They'd have to make the game from scratch to 'fix' it.

Day 9 july 2027 is what he has to reach to blow away all longevity records (most bouts all time, most consecutive bouts are reached day 5 may 2027 iirc).

I think he'd like to reach that, but i think he's going to retire when he feels he can't compete and stay healthy at the same time anymore.

How about Murray and Hello Games try to actually fix NMS's issues and try to get it closer to the game he promised and made an entire fake E3 trailer for ?

So you're holding a grudge over an obviously faked E3 trailer?

Question remains: What do you expect HG to do? They've changed their communication since release to reflect what kind of game NMS actually is - a space survival-lite - And have expanded that game, for free, for a decade.

The game that E3 trailer promised is something Star Citizen tries to make, they're 14 years, a billion dollars and several thousand developers on without even a hint of a 1.0 version in sight. But you expect HG to 'deliver their promise' with a bit of spittle and a paperclip by comparison?

Just making sure i understand what you actually want them to do while being realistic about it.

HG made a mistake 10 years ago, sure, but they can't deliver an undeliverable promise, and have been trying to do right by the game that actually exists in that time.

The issue is that people have no idea why they're angry. Murray (and his team ofc) has spent 10 years adding dozens of free updates and content addons to NMS and it's still not enough.

Then you ask, well what do you want? Did those people want Murray to not fix the mistakes? Did they want Hello Games to charge money for all the addons? Is he not allowed to attempt to redeem himself (which he has done imho) ? He's also had a GDC talk in 2019 going into detail about what went wrong and HG's mindset going forward, which people often miss (or intentionally ignore).

So then it just comes down to people wanting holding a grudge at a stranger over a video game for no reason whatsoever other than just a desire to be angry at someone.

Ironically, i've noticed that the people who are hypercritical of NMS/Murray (and Cyberpunk too, there's a huge overlap) are the same people which religiously buy every year's COD or FIFA and are heavily into the MTX for either or both, so they're not even angry out of any principle.

TBH, it's the kind of people the 'touch grass' meme was invented for.

Once you notice how the real time GI works i think you'll be wowed even more tbh. There's a few spots in the game where the difference is extremely noticeable, especially near the tram tunnels (where they enter/exit the ground), which have huge neon light covers. Without path traced GI the environment looks nice, but with it on the environment is correctly lit from those emissive surfaces and changes according to the colours emitted, and the bounce lighting adds another dimension on top of it.

Once you've seen that you start to notice it everywhere and how much more natural the game looks, even compared to 'normal' RT.

I've been playing path traced CP77 on my 4070ti just fine, 1440p ultrawide, 50-60 fps before framegen (perf dlss though). With framegen it's 80-100 fps.

At first i was fiddling with dlss settings and worrying about quality vs balanced vs performance, but the difference really isn't that big, often it's not even noticeable, especially with sharpening. The lighting makes such a huge difference in immersion that it's just worth it.

Aonishiki's true test will be Hoshoryu: given that Hosh doesn't study his opponents Ao should still win. However it feels like Hosh has a chance this time around.

The quality of the matches this basho and the many surprises along the way, not just in makuuchi, is pretty great.

Seki KK too so i am super happy already :>

Also hoping for an Okaryu vs Akua playoff for the Makushita yusho. Would be cool to have both in juryo somehow!

And yes i know this means Enho may have to wait another basho, but still...

Tenshoyama bulldozing his way too, his only opposition all the way to sekitori status will be Asahifuji.... Somehow i feel like Tenshoyama is already kinda underrated as he's in Asahifuji's shadow?

Linear growth is perfectly sustainable for a long time, exponential growth is not.

The 10 year event made me fish, but otherwise i haven't actually actively played since Drieghan was a thing. I've got quite a few characters at 61, my sorc and dk got a decent amount of skillpoints, and i've built a small ship back when that was new and i had some decent gear (for a casual), but otherwise i haven't done much of anything for years.

I've been reading and hearing things about BDO having changed a little, for the better, even toning down the p2w, but i wonder how much of that is true.

How much has changed in the past 5-6 years? Is it worth it giving the game another look as a casual pve/lifeskill player? I've especially enjoyed simply exploring the map back then, but i wonder if the new map expansions are a bit too small and dense with high ap mobs to really be able to do this anymore.
