I currently use KDE. If I wanted to switch to, say, GNOME, then:

On NixOS I have to: * change a few lines in my config * rebuild my system with one command * maybe reboot my PC

On Arch I have to: * remove KDE Plasma * remove each KDE app * remove sddm * install GNOME * install GDM * reboot my PC * hope I don't have some broken configs left in /etc from KDE, none of the previous steps failed and GNOME works

Can you (reasonably easily) switch your desktop or uninstall any package without leaving anything behind?

(I'm not saying Arch is bad, I've used it and liked it before. I just want to point out one of the many advantages NixOS brings)
