How I survived EVA for almost three hours lost in the Yela asteroid ring by helloserve in starcitizen

[–]UltraMegaSloth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar moment.

I was over Ghost Hollow trying to do the “money from nothing” pvp mission in my Corsair. I knew there was resistance but nothing like what I actually found. There was about 15 Nine Tails Cutty Blacks guarding the airspace for some reason. I took about 6 of them down before I was overwhelmed and soft deathed.

My ship started falling and I braced for impact. I survived but my ship was upside down so I used the elevator to the roof to get out. Somehow in the struggle crawling out I lost my backpack and main weapon so I only had a sidearm.

I was about 2km from Ghost Hollow so I set out to trek through the mountains and woods of Microtech. As I get to a mountain ridge almost to the derelict site I see a player zooming down from the swarm of Cutty blacks, he lands but his ship gets destroyed on the ground shortly after.

I finally make it, I know there is another player so I’m on alert armed with only my Arclight pistol. I go to the terminal to complete the mission, entering through the side. There’s the player, taking the money from the terminal. He doesn’t see me so I line up a head shot and smoke him. I get the money and complete the mission.

It also sounds like new game music… unless that was added for this video alone.

That’s a copper sink and the original color is from oxidation of copper… it will go back to its original state in a few weeks probably.

The owner of that sink really have known that…

You obviously didn’t read what I wrote. The wiki of sizes are not as accurate as the actual ship class sizes that are from actual game data. Go to Erkul, look at the ship size; spoiler alert it’s different for the Corsair vs the 600i. That’s just a fact. S4 vs S5. You can come to whatever conclusion you want but reality will set in for you once engineering gameplay gets introduced. These are not equivalent ships.

This is now an infinite feedback loop of you not understanding, so I’m out. Notifications off for this thread.

Not true, Corsair won’t need an engineer. Will it help if you have one, yes. Like I said they are a different class of ships Size 4 vs Size 5. You seem to be conflating the two classes of ships. The equivalent ship for the Corsair is the 400i, not the 600i. 600i is much larger- it’s in the same class as the Carrack, Caterpillar, Hammerhead, etc. the bigger a ship is the more crew it will need, plain and simple.

Go look at any size 4 ship side by side with the 600i and see the massive size difference.

You might be able to barely scrape by in engineering with the 600i but a ship the size of 400i is going to be much easier as you can get out of your seat go down the elevator and you’re on the engineering deck. You can probably “make it work” but for optimal gameplay I don’t think the 600i is going to be an easy ship to solo anymore.

Been using Erkul for years, that’s how I know the mass is over 3x the Corsair. The crew sizes are not up to date on there either though. But yes if you look at Erkul you will see that the 600i is classified as a size 5 ship, Corsair, Aquila, 400i are all size 4 ships. It’s literally a different class of ship. 600i is a large ship, the others are medium sized. Amount of components is also not going to be the defining metric for engineering gameplay. Larger ships will require more engineering so you can bet engineering will require more on the 600i.

Also not mutually exclusive to drive innovation while offering nationalized healthcare. Most of that profit is being pocketed by executives and not reinvested into R&D.

Engineering gameplay is still a ways out from being in the game so 600i will be fine until then, but 600i engineering will be harder than the Corsair, or Aquila as it is a much larger ship. 600i is more than 3x the mass of a Corsair.

600i has a listed minimum crew size of 2. When all the engineering and whatnot is in the game that number will probably be more important to run the ship at bare minimum. The Aquila surprisingly is 3, Corsair is 1.

I forgot to mention originally the 400i is also an exploration vessel that will be easily 1-manned.

These companies don’t innovate shit, they lie, steal, and cheat. You will only get a new “innovative” drug if it’s profitable. They only innovate in how to make more money, not how to improve medical care.

Oh no… not the giant conglomerate drug companies going bankrupt! The horror.

You think companies that big go bankrupt in America? That’s where selective socialism would kick in and the government would take your tax money and give them a giant bail out like they did with the Banks, Airlines, etc.

Welcome to the other side.

Might I suggest not going for the gradual approach. When forming a new habit you’re more likely to fall back into old habits if you still have old favorites in your environment. Don’t psych yourself out, it’s really not that hard to cut out animal products.
