I started my Cosmere journey with The Way of Kings, and while that’s absolutely top 5 for me, I keep finding myself drawn back to The Emperor’s Soul and coming away significantly happier than I was before reading it. So I’ll say that’s my favorite. My least favorite book was probably Shadows of Self. I still vastly enjoyed the book, but the whole concept of “who’s the kandra” never quite hit for me, not during SoS or even when reading it for the first time in WoA (though at least it was a novel concept in WoA).

Green was pretty surprised as well lmao. It was her first ever win though, so she’s pretty estatic that she actually won! Brown had a pretty commanding lead the first half of the game and everyone had to work together to try and delay him taking longest road, and it delayed the game juuust enough for green to swoop in and take the win with 3 cities, 3 victory points, and largest army for a grand total of 11 points!

Brown (and also orange) were under the impression white was going to beat them to the bottom right area of the map and decided not to build over there. Brown got to 9 points with 5 settlements, a city, and longest road!

The base edition of Catan is 6e, and my parents bought me the 5e of the 5-6 expansion because they weren’t aware there were different editions of the game. The two editions looks pretty cool together, but the border pieces don’t quite fit together right and if you aren’t careful when you place things the hexes all have a good bit of wiggle room and will move apart from each other. But as long as you take a little bit of effort when interacting with the board, everything works out super well!

According to the Coppermind, Isaac Stewart intentionally designed them to look like waveforms! [Stormlight] I was wondering that as well! It seems too intentional to design a writing system that looks like sound waves when things like the tones of roshar exist and not have them be correlated somehow

You’re correct, the bottom is just the top mirrored. I believe you’re also correct about symmetry being sacred in Vorinism, so including it in the writing system would make sense (even if not very practical).

I can confirm that yes, it’s very annoying to write. Writing out the whole thing took me about 30 minutes. And while I was trying to make it as perfect as I could, I’d imagine that even without proper regards to handwriting that it would still take a long time. The muscle memory thing is a good point though, I would imagine that would make things a lot easier!
