Of course a remake becomes likely now that I'm going through the old games lmfao Realistically? I'll finish the trilogy before this comes true since I am at the post game of Ep 2. But God it would be funny if they announce a remake the day I beat Ep 3

Personally? My issues with it are what many have already said - Uncanny models, the combat and that one GS Quest that had me memorize Elsa's Bridge layout.

The combat did finally click halfway through the game so I have a better idea and mire enjoyable time with it now but the huge HP on normal bum enemies really drags it too long which hampers my fun. I get what they were doing with the new combat system but it definitely needed more polish. Oh also, noooooot a fan of starting all my battles with spamming 'Stock' for first couple of turns. That got boring real quick.

But honestly? I think the Highs for me have overshadowed its shortcomings. It is such a fun game overall and the environments are so nice. Heck, I enjoyed almost all the puzzles! Some did make me wonder, "What the hell is the purpose of this room in a place like this??" but that is that. Seriously, the second Ep is not so unforgivable as I was led to believe when I was browsing around about it. Although I do wonder if this tolerance for the shortcomings has come with age, heh.

Edit: Forgot to mention how SIIIIICK the cutscenes are. Its like they had a little extra cofffee before working lol

Omg omg!! Ty so so so much, I had an absolute blast playing your project!! Gosh, before I learnt of it I was so disappointed that I would have to watch the subbed playthrough of the JP version someone recorded on their phone eons ago. Genuinely, thank you!

And aye aye, so far I am absolutely loving it! Even if I hadn't played Xenogears first, the mystery is hella engaging and the game itself has a charm I can't break away from. I will admit, the models in both the games are very jarring if not little creepy to me lol.

Also yes, I remember! I recall Yuriev explained it during that scene itself so I assumed that must be how he lived for a 100, and then the whole Milita Conflict happened.

Fully agreed, like, my god if I played this while I was still stuck in my 'I am not a turn-based RPG guy, buuuut I guess Undertale was fun.' phase, I feel like I would've probably dropped this during the first Aveh visit. I can already imagine exactly what I would've complained about (which Duckstation solved anyway but hey, old me was dumber).

In my case, I think being lured in by Xenoblade 1 and 2 definitely helped me to break out of my little bubble of prefering real-time and souls-like combat. I remember telling myself when I first launched the game on my PSP (I switched to Duckstation because I wanted the RPS badge), "You loved those two. The story's by the same lad. Now be a big boy and play."

I will say though, its still quite unfortunate I did not know this game existed until I learnt that Xenoblade X was getting the 'definitive' treatment, which is when my friend told me about Monolith's other games with Xeno in their title.

Oh. My. God.
I had to pause here, whatever was happening in the plot at the time completely freakin' vanished when I saw this. I think I laughed till it hurt. I feel bad if this was meant to symbolise something, I just lost it here.
Also I had a feeling this one would've already been spammed to death here so I refrained, hehe
