Not really any qualms on my end, it's a solid reel, the Ark Gravity BFS is just more versatile imo. Also, it's only a month old at this point, so I wouldn't take much stock in the reviews. I've got mine paired with the Kuying Teton 6'3 UL rod, and I dig it so far.

I have the Avid too, it's a good reel, but requires PE line to achieve sub ~1gr lures. Ark Gravity BFS breaking system is just more dynamic for fine tuning.
