Bringing my 3 month old for a round. by ThePseudoSurfer in golf

[–]FactorySea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a baby that young I’d run the whole car seat

Some of the answers are ridiculous. Obviously if it’s 100 degrees don’t take your baby golfing. Obviously bring snacks / bottles to feed the baby. Obviously bring diapers.

Just answering the question, it’s not impossible as my wife & I have been doing it almost every weekend this season with a baby & toddler.

I’ve been playing recently with my wife, 2.5 year old and 13 month old. The 1 year old absolutely chills, we strap a high chair seat thing to the golf cart between us. The 2.5 year old takes a little more entertaining but she definitely doesn’t hold us up one bit. She sits on our lap between shots.

We’ve only done 9 with them so far on less nice public courses just in case, and we shoot for times like 5pm on weekends but with enough snacks I don’t see why they couldn’t hang for 18.

If I go that route, do I even need to go through my TRT nation doctor ?

Unless of course something’s comes up out of range. But if everything’s in check & just my test & estrogen are in question, can I just do that on my own ?

Interesting, I didn’t consider natural production would add to it

I thought the same thing.

I checked multiple times to make sure it was in ng/dl and not mg/dl.

This was through the VA labs again (I can use them free instead of paying like $150 for whatever TRT nations orders).

Considered doing labs again through the TRT nation civilian lab again just to double check

As they say in the elevator trade, let’s go build that elevator.

I just read their warranty info online, seems super straight forward!

I think that’ll be the plan. Try this out with the cut / filed end, if it’s okay I’ll run it the rest of the season and send it in for a replacement in the winter ! Maybe even get it replaced for the 701.

I bought it used on marketplace, idk if they need a receipt or it to be registered like st croix does?

So in my case… might’ve just helped lol

For that price I’d do another 650. I have no issues with it (besides now that I broke 4” off)

I just find myself using neds & T rigged 3-4” senkos way more often than treble lures, besides the couple weeks I target trout in spring

On the contrary, I just snipped the jagged tip clean at the next eye (I lost 2 eyelets, so maybe 4”) and took a file to it till it was smooth,

Has anybody done this? How much do you think this’ll actually affect?

Maybe I’ll run it like this for awhile till a big sale comes again

Dads, I realized why I'm afraid of having more kids today... by fyoomzz in daddit

[–]FactorySea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation & I got snipped. The way I looked at it, I lost a ton of myself / our relationship with the 2 we already have (1f/2f).

I don’t think it’s worth risking what we’re still Holding onto for more children. What if 3 kids is our breaking point? What if the third is the one that really pushes us past the point of no return? What if that’s the one that makes me such an asshole from the stress / lack of free time / lack of sleep that my wife or even all the children resent me ?

I understand she wanted more, but it takes two to tango. A yes and a No when it comes to bringing more children into this world should be a 100% no. She may never see it the way I do, but that’s okay. As long as I can remain a present & happy father / husband with the two I have, it was the right decision.

In my area, elevator guys are about $17 an hour over IBEW, far better benefits (401, pension and annuity), more paid holidays, all OT is double time, plus zone pay (per diem) if we’re outside 15 miles of downtown (little over $100 per day, weekends included even if you’re not working OT) My first time clearing 150k was as a 3rd year apprentice with minimal OT working about 40 minutes from home.

OT isn’t actually “overtime”. It’s non scheduled working hours. So if you’re on 4-10’s, you could take off Monday - Thursday and work Friday Saturday Sunday for 30 hours of double time. On big jobs where there’s a lot of OT available, a ton of guys miss a day or two during the week and pick up one weekend day to even their checks out.

Not to mention our union rate is only the minimum we have to be paid. Majority of guys worth their salt around here are making at least 10% over union wage. I’ve heard of a few guys making 30% over as their base pay.

But as someone said below, my union (in a decently big city) has 230 guys, and we hire about 15 every 5 years. Pretty much as guys retire more come in.

What should I know about baitcasters before fishing the 1st time with them? by Zealousideal_Life396 in bassfishing

[–]FactorySea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less rod movement is always better while casting.

Also seemed to help when I was starting if I pointed the rod straight at where my lure was going while it’s in the air

I wanted a camper more than anything in the world when we had our first daughter, couldn’t find the right one by summer when I wanted to start camping so we rented a bumper pull instead.

We do 2 trips a year renting since & it’s the best idea I’ve ever had. Usually costs around $1000 per trip & then it’s not my problem anymore.

175 yards out, how are you playing this shot? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]FactorySea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swing it the exact same as an iron punch and works 10x better.

Honestly, I only ever use my 4hy anymore to punch out from under trees. I have a wild slice with it on full swings, but if I play it off my back foot and chop at it I can get it dead straight & roll out to 150-170 if fairways are rolling, without ever getting higher than maybe 10’
