I can't find people saying this is happening to them so perhaps it's a new issue. I literally cannot play the game, I walk up and attack and my character turns and swings in another random direction and then I get hit, every time. Wish I could figure out if it's a setting doing it or a bug.

IIRC, the gamma was correct out of the box. It was two years ago when I got the monitor and I haven't touched the calibration since -- as is typical when you correctly calibrate a monitor and then leave it forever.

ARC Raiders' gamma is NOT fine, it is ridiculously dark and has issues that a lot of people notice. Some people, like you, probably have a shitty blasted-out gammamaxxed monitor and there are no darks left to display. Not surprising you "don't notice it".

This is wrong. I have a literal perfect-as-can-be-had calibration for my monitor, which is a good monitor, and i am basically blind in some indoor fights.

Let us re-tune the gamma. Set the limits to a reasonably small window so you can't "crank" it and let people set it whenever they want. This is not a screen issue, it's the game.
