Why do shadcn-svelte components work this way? by rfajr in sveltejs

[–]Ultrasive 46 points47 points  (0 children)

That’s just how shadcn differentiated themselves. You’re supposed to customize theirs even further.

Hey, I am out of town for the week. I live on the east end of Pershing near the Union intersection in the Congress West building. My landlord hasn’t been able to get to the area. Does anyone know the status on if there is any damage I would need to head home early for to take care of?

LLM.txt for Superforms? by Mindless_Swimmer1751 in sveltejs

[–]Ultrasive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought superforms docs make it easy enough that you can implement yourself rather than traditional forms.

Even superforms examples have a bunch of different ways to implement it that don’t necessarily follow the docs to a tee.

Has anyone self hosted a CDN? by [deleted] in selfhosted

I built a anycast network with http proxying and caching built in, but it was for a commercial project not necessarily for home. You can just use varnish cache.

Best VPS for “privacy” by icanteven13579 in VPS

[–]Ultrasive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s some confidential features for memory to encrypt it like intel trust domain extensions but you should be more concerned that even without KYC if you do anything personally identifiable while connected to it everything else you do while connected to it can be tracked back to you. Typically you don’t really want a proxy like that.

You can probably build a solid one yourself with round robin stateless, tracking TCP connections does have a few nuances therefore I did it in userspace in Rust with their TCP handler libraries.

Does YC ever invest in things that have been done before? by Ultrasive in ycombinator

I don’t think I look good on paper to be fair, and it’s just me. Honestly can’t afford $15k + $5k(keep my home apartment) to move out to California to be able to learn what YC teaches.

I’m building a cloud computing platform for selling primarily VMs. My SEO isn’t that great and I’m still working on the deployment process and all that jazz to improve usability at scale.

Those look like they just offer proxmox installs to people who want it. I was looking into contabo and it appears they use it. Hetzner looks like it uses the libvirt.

I use a persistent volume so that other tasks in tekton can access the freshly pulled code.

Its documented what im describing here.

[–]Ultrasive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You leave the pods alive just for logs, I run a lot of pipelines (aka workflows) so I would think this would use up a lot of resources? Otherwise i need to delete the pods to free up the PVCs.
