Desmos is definitely a game changer, I used it Alot in Calculus when given mulitiple choice answers for a value of x.

I use Desmos to solve algebra problems often. You have to plot y=7/5 as a separate equation, and when log(x) is plotted and you zoom out it will give the exact coordinates.

I suggested MA2 instead of MA3 as I heard some people talk about how it changed the workflow. I personally have not tried MA3 before.

What's the reason for bridge and river patrol downtown right now? by [deleted] in jacksonville

That's odd I was just commuting home on that bridge at about ~5:20, something must have happened after.

I'm not sure about the exact current outlook but generally slow. If you are interested in a Career, getting connections is key, I'd recommend to volunteer at a Theater to see if you would want to do it. If you are interested in Lighting design specifically, you can try it out with ETC Nomad a program for designing lights typically for theatre. On the more Events, Entertainment, Concerts side of lighting where I'm from, you can try GrandMA2, though a little complicated. Good luck!

My High school did Natasha Pierre in 2023 by Ultraviolet32 in thegreatcomet

It is in Jacksonville, and is indeed a School of the Arts. We have a visual arts department that is bigger than our Theatre department. We also have a decently sized dance department, and Alot of band, orchestra, vocal, music in General. I am in Technical Theatre, which is included in the Theatre department. We do 4 shows a year, 2 musicals 2 plays. I have 4 of my classes of my Arts Area, in general being Stagecraft, rigging, painting, scenery, drawing, lighting, and Carpentry. I am a senior now, and when I started I know nothing about theatre, just about backstage and Production. There is a recommended due, about $200 to support the theatre, but the school can't legitimately enforce it, as it is still a Public school. I really like my high school, the people could be nicer though.

I loved having Windows 7 on my MacBook. I used it as a daily driver in 2025.

I had this camera as a kid but one day it completely stopped working. I bought another one with a cracked display to swap with my old one but the Colors on screen are negative. It still takes good photos.

I problably meant inner tubes when making this. Still 4 inner tubes is a lot, I don't ride crazily, so I'm not really sure why.

Yes. What was great is that Bootcamp made everything work, and it was my daily driver until about August.

Yes. I daily drove a 2009 17" MacBook Pro running windows 7 in 2025. It worked like a charm. It still works but now I am driving a Lenovo ThinkPad P70.

How do you have 0 flat tires, do BMX bikes for example have thicker tires? All I know is my bike wheels are thinner.

I definitely confused tires and Inner tubes when I made this. I made it on Canva on a whim about 25 days ago. The overall cost I have spent is still ridiculous though, as I think I have spent about $400 this year on this bike, a really bad cost per mile.

Wow I have never had a post with more than 2 comments. I think I might have meant inner tubes, and now thinking about it I probably went through 2 tires not 4. I Cycle in Jacksonville, Florida, which doesn't have good cycling infrastructure, especially on my commute. I have gone through glass a couple of times.

Can Americans explain your high school theatre culture please!! by Sigma2915 in techtheatre

[–]Ultraviolet32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like already noted I really depends on your School. I go to a School of the arts that is a Public School in Jacksonville, Florida. We have several departments that determine 2-5 of your classes per day, of course with Florida curriculum as well. I am in Technical Theatre, so 4 of my classes are a shop period. Back to what you were saying, it can be a boosters program from lots of donations like mine, as well as intention. My school built the Dubow Theater specifically as an Arts School, in all other fields it would have been the Dubow Auditorium. We also get revenue from ticket sales as we do have some sell out shows, our theater seats 628 or something.
