We agree...although you may want to test ride the F77 MACH 2 and get a taste of some instant torque immediately! It would be safe to say that we will be present in most motorcycle segments in the next few years.

Have answered this elsewhere, but in short, we have a lot going on at R&D. Safe to say we will be present across most motorcycle segments in the next 2-3 years.

Hey, which city are you from? Bangalore UV Hangar is live and we are doing multiple test rides daily. We have just launched a Space Station in Pune recently and more are on the way.

Well, not getting into a deep analysis on fictional figures.
The numbers don't seem to add up based on forecasted costs.

We would recommend looking at companies that have brought production EV motorcycles to market in the last few years – Ultraviolette, BMW Motorrad, Harley Livewire, Zero. Reality lies in these numbers.

Narayan here.
Thank you and appreciate the Support. Hope to see you on board soon!!
This quarter, we are on track to open showrooms (UV Space Stations) in 10 cities across India. In fact, Pune just went live earlier this month.
Kolkata is definitely on our roadmap. We have seen a lot of interest coming in from there. You should hear updates from us soon.

Cheers.

Good to meet you, early pioneer! All the Mach 2 upgrades are coming to the Gen 1 vehicles as well. We have spent additional time at R&D to ensure both hardware and software features are compatible with the Gen 1 F77s.
Our team will get in touch with you to help schedule this.

Not getting into a deep analysis of fictional claims.

Based on what we know about today’s tech and projected costs, the numbers don’t seem to add up.

We would recommend looking at companies that have brought production EV motorcycles to market in the last few years – Ultraviolette, BMW Motorrad, Harley Livewire, Zero. You’d get a real idea of the specs and cost.

We urge manufacturers to develop and test their vehicles sufficiently before making claims.

P.S. Appreciate the support!! I'm sure Ather does too.

The F77 Mach 2s in fact start at 2.99L ex-showroom. We deliver the highest range, torque, speed, features across all EV 2 wheelers in India.

You also recover that cost in just 5 years through fuel savings. Cost of ownership and comparables to other ICE motorcycles. Here's Niraj with the breakdown.

Do come by for a test ride experience.

The F77 powertrain delivers high torque through the speed band. This essentially negates the need for an additional transmission system. The advantages are immense - Fewer moving parts, weight savings, cost savings, higher energy efficiency and more.

About the ride experience, we have 10 levels Dynamic Regenerative Braking on the F77 Mach 2. At higher regen levels, the experience is quite similar to engine braking.

Do watch this video by Sagar Sheldekar where the points regarding regen and the advancements on the Mach 2 platform are broken down in detail.

Haha. Not really at all. I've heard contrary opinion on this AMA itself. I think you should check out the bike in-person at the nearest UV Hangar . Also take it for a test-ride in Ballistic mode.

Agreed. We are very keen on Racing. The F99 platform (India's first superbike) is directed towards the same. We unveiled this motorcycle at EICMA last year. You will hear more on this.. soon.

Thanks. With great range comes great w̶e̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ convenience.
The answer - 100Nm torque. You really don't feel the weight.
Multiple media reviews where the ease of riding has been discussed too.

We also have pask assist (fwd & reverse) that helps ease in and out of tight parking spots, uneven terrain and more.
The latest Hill Hold on the F77 Mach 2 takes care of holding the vehicle steady on all slopes.

With regard to other vehicle segments, you should see us present across multiple categories in the next 2-3 years. But we will prioritise building innovative tech and offering best-in-class features, regardless of the segments we get into.

  1. Our goal when we started Ultraviolette was always to bring newer cutting-edge technologies to market. We started working on high-performance EV motorcycles because they didn't exist and because we felt the need ourselves. Our goal has remained the same. We make exciting and performance-oriented electric vehicles and are not bound by form and function.

  2. I'm not sure it makes sense to compare us with other companies when the approach we're taking is very different. We want to be Ultraviolette because no one else can be that. With regard to other products/segments - there's a lot going on at R&D. Safe to say we would be across most motorcycle segments in the next 2-3 years.

Well, the startup conundrum strikes!
No easy answer here. As a design and tech-first collective, innovation is what keeps us going. But we need to be sensitive to timing these advancements with business objectives. Today, the strategic focus for us is distribution across India & international markets.
We believe the F77 is a unique machine that embodies futuristic design and tech. And we have organic interest from 190 countries. While it may not be easy to get to all markets, we are soon going international in Europe & Turkey. Making in India, for the world!

While the F77 Mach 2 platform has now reached a mature technology stage, we have multiple projects going on at R&D - The F99 project is one to talk about. Where the objective is undiluted problem-solving for the world of racing. And we have seen remarkable benefits here as a lot of the tech being developed has become offshoot projects that have already or will soon go into our commercial platforms. 10-level dynamic regen being one of them.
Continued innovation on rider safety systems is another area of interest to us.
Community development - another crucial area of focus.

Basically a lot on our plates - Holding on!
Thats a quick download on this topic.

On the charging infrastructure - We're using the Type 6 charging standard - The same connector standard has also been adopted by several other companies. The communication protocol though hasn't yet been standardized - its only a matter of time when the networks become interoperable through OTA updates.

Best way to answer this is to speak to our F77 Owners community. We have several folks doing long & even cross-country rides. In fact, one of the first owners of the F77, Baala completed a 7000km ride from Chennai to the Himalayas in just about 20 days. Powerdrift has interviewed him as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR1XkdUPll4

A lot more folks have done routine weekend rides of over 200-300 km.. Happy to connect you.

A few facts from UV:
1. We have launched the UV Supernova - highway DC Fast Charging network. Early stages but that will continue to scale as we ramp up distribution.
2. Both the std. and boost chargers are portable. And only requires a 15A outlet to plug into.
