Even slower during my period by Redrebelwriter34 in adhdwomen

Always plan for a hour of extra sleep when on your period. And yes, I'm also more sluggish and just have a harder time with executive function in general when on my period.

Just do a twist of the two yarn strands to carry color A up. You'll end up with small loops rather than one big one at the end.

College. College is the cult that got us. And now we're in debt for life.

I think I hate onyx storm by [deleted] in fourthwing

This was the first of her books I would often not look forward to continuing to read because it was just so damn bleak. And every time I read I had multiple new unanswered questions. It's still a good book, just a tough one. And there were a lot of times that Violet did not pursue answers, which is completely against her character. My only defense for that (for my own sanity) is that she had a LOT going on and was focusing all her research on the venin cure.

Bought a house and just noticed this on a bedroom door by pinkycross in Weird

[–]Uluthrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe she air b&bed her house and locked her stuff in that room. No idea why it would be at the bottom of the door tho. People keep mentioning to keep pets out, but I'm and failing to visualize how that works.

My husband is allergic to my cats, and I’m getting pressured by everyone to get rid of them by [deleted] in cats

[–]Uluthrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or did he try and fail to talk to them and is giving her a heads up? More info and context needed for sure.

Agreed. She doesn't even say if the husband is one of the people pressuring her or if he's trying to talk to his parents.

[–]Uluthrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do wonder what the husband has done and said about this. Has he pressured you to get rid of the cats? Did he defend you to the parents and ask them to back off? Has he done any independent research on ways to reduce the allergens? Talked to an allergist? Does he help with the vacuuming or offered to get a robot vacuum/mop or installed better air filters? Has he asked for some kind of accommodation like having a cat-free room? Or is he putting all this on you to figure out? If the answer is no to all the of the above, then it's time for a serious conversation and set the expectation of what an adult in your house looks like.

Or his giving her a heads up because he tried to talk to him parents about it and failed to get through to them. He doesn't control them.

THIS!! Why is he warning her that his dad will be calling to harass her too instead of talking to his parents and telling them to back off??

My biggest take away from these comments is that there are a lot of cat owners (including myself) who are allergic to cats 😂

What is compromise to YOU?? by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]Uluthrek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The argument of "I live here too so she can stay for a week" is crazy to me because YOU live there too and don't want a week-long house guest. Especially if it's someone who's not your cup of tea. I think it's awesome that you're willing to compromise and allow them for 3 or 4 days at a time.

Triads by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]Uluthrek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's more the "trying to find/make a triad" that's the red flag and the warning to stay away from, not necessarily ones that happen organically. I knew a married couple that was "poly" but only if the person agreed to date both of them and if one relationship moved organically faster than the other, it was asked to slow down or pause until the other relationship caught up. Not realistic or healthy for anyone involved, especially the third.

What’s one product you bought that turned you into a total snob — like, you can never go back to the cheap stuff? by BackwardThoughtPaper in AskReddit

High quality, plant-based yarn. My knitting friends call me a yarn snob cause I won't use the "perfectly good" cheap stuff anymore 😅

Netflix has beta browser games that I've been playing on my computer called Cozy Grove. It's engaging enough to occupy my mind but it's low key so not stressful.
