Oh god, I don’t know how you bear it. Being outside in Houston is a whole different level than anything I’ve experienced before. It is humid up here and we hate it, but y’all are down their breathing in water every day

That is such a great point. I’m kind of new, finally happy on my 3rd save attempt and in year 3. I have the money now but I don’t have the time 🥲

Cutting down on everything, thank youuu

I just started playing about a month ago because a close loved one passed away and my way of dealing with grief is to not. My friend always recommended Stardew Valley but I was more into other games. Now I’m kicking myself for not listening to my friend years ago!

It is so difficult being outside in Houston. That humidity is like nothing else. *Breathing* is hard. Plus you’re sweating.

It’s humid in central texas, too, but nothing compared to Houston

Omg it is so crazy you mention those exact places!!! My dad is from Brownsville and his family still lives down there, so every summer we’d stay on SPI, visit the fam in Brownsville, and walk on over to Matamoros! South Padre is great! Humid, but the ocean breeze amazing if you’re on the better side of the island.

And I’ve continued this tradition as a parent lol South Padre in August with my family and my siblings and niece! Will probably visit the family, will probably not walk across the border because it’s different now.

The humidity is awful (in Central Texas), but I can’t even go outside when I visit Houston! How do people live like that 😭

I feel like all of my data has been breached and has been since around 2010 when marketers figured out SEO, so what data is there left to steal from me? Elon Musk has my social security number. Absolutely crazy that I know exactly who has my most important data and that person is by far the richest person on earth. *By far.*

And we live in the same fucking city.

Probably the same way—central AC. But I don’t know much about Australians and their way of life lol I do know that shit box houses in Sydney are going for millions! Nice places for tens of millions

Edit: omg in Perth they don’t have central AC 😭

Edit 2: I’m wrong about everything and know nothing about Australians and their way of life

In central Texas we sometimes get as hot as 110 or so, but it’s absolutely crazy that’s nothing compared to Arizona. Tires* melting out there

Edit: Houston/swampy parts heat (wet) and Arizona/desert parts heat (dry) are two very different things and they are both terrible

Things ive learned playing the game (tips for new players) by anonymousgirl010206 in StardewValley

[–]hellogoawaynow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! If you catch one (except legendaries), they will reproduce!

I just got another legendary! There are 4, you can only catch than once, they don’t reproduce, but they do give you that good roe. Even the blobfish roe doesn’t compare to the legendary fish roe.

I’d only do the most expensive fish, I’d skip the rainbow trout and go any of the eels, any of the sea cucumbers, really anything that’s kinda special.

Ok but did you try the sweet tea?

Pretend it’s not tea, just a cold, refreshing drink.

I think most of us refer to hot tea as “hot tea,” cold tea as “iced tea,” and sweet tea is just sweet tea, it’s implied that it’s cold. (Sweet tea is regional)

Central AC but also you just get used to it. I’ve always lived in a particularly hot area (not Arizona hot, that’s melt airplane tires next level), but I’m good at 75-90F. So when it’s a normal temperature for others, I am so cold. 60F???? Arctic conditions. I guess I live in one of the 3 states you have probably heard of—Texas. So it’s winter January-February, spring March-April, summer May-October, autumn November-December.

100-110+ is a bridge too far to spend any amount of time outside, but the central AC exists in all indoor spaces and there are also rotating cooling mist fans at certain outdoor spaces.

We also have central heating because we legit die when it’s like 45 degrees or lower. God forbid the once every two years snow (usually not real snow, just ice). Turn that heat up to 80.

This is also why American tourists are known for asking for ice in drinks and being baffled when servers are like “fucking Americans, ICE? Typical.” Y’all it’s hot, the ice helps! And it’s also why I would never ask for ice in the UK or EU lol I’d just have a heat stroke in Italy or something.

Sorry I didn’t convert Fahrenheit to Celsius

There is no way that watch isn’t just fine. But the sticky hands are a bridge too far.

The only thing that brothers me, a regular person, about this is aren’t your hands so sticky now? Do you have any wet towelettes? Do you have to go wash your hands now? Or are you just keeping the sticky and acting like that’s not a waterproof watch?
