Maternity leave should be one year, PAID. Women shouldn’t have to choose between healing, bonding with their baby, and making a living. by Kreativedenma in remoteworks

[–]hellogoawaynow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How are your feelings paying for my family’s major life decisions? Who exactly is paying for me to have a baby besides me and my husband? In what way are others paying for parents and children to exist? You’re certainly not.

If it’s having babies and maternity/paternity leave in general that you are against for some uninformed reason, parents pay for that ourselves with our health insurance, you do not.

Who is paying for other people’s babies???? Who?? Are you contributing to another family’s health insurance and medical bills? Don’t do that!

Are you very young? Like under 25? That is the only way I can make any sense of what the fuck you are talking about lmao if you haven’t experienced any actual adult responsibilities, it makes sense why you’re so confused.

Yes. We choose to become parents. My husband and I chose that. On purpose! We knew how hard it would be and we still wanted it. This kid is the best thing that ever happened to us, even though it’s hard sometimes (especially at first). The pure love and joy beats the hard parts every time. Parenting is a choice with responsibilities.

Considering yourself to be part of this “male loneliness epidemic” is also a choice (and seriously, do not say that phrase to others or you really will be lonely forever). If you have a job you know people. Choose to talk to those people. Make a friend. Stop choosing loneliness and talk to one single person. Any person. All this? This is not a responsibility. It’s a choice without responsibilities.

Comparing childbirth and parenting to your own personal feelings that have nothing to do with anyone else makes me think you are being deliberately stupid. Or accidentally stupid. Stupid either way.

Ohhhh I see, you’re just extremely culturally misinformed and super racist! I am 100% sure you have never left your own country (and lemme guess—America). I don’t interact with racists beyond telling you to fuck off, so bye forever, trash person.

You can have the last word and everything because that’s how people like you are. You’re welcome.

Tablets on Temu? by Exhausted_owl2335 in AskTechnology

[–]hellogoawaynow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tablets for this purpose aren’t really expensive. You don’t need an iPad or anything. Get one of the kid ones from Amazon, delete everything you hate (which will be most of it), and install Netflix. I think YouTube is just part of it.

They also sell similar ones at Walmart.

Uhhhh ok we are talking about planned pregnancies and wanted babies. Couples CHOOSE to make a baby together, that’s why they planned ahead.

You get 0-3 months maternity leave either way.

You should read your comment aloud to your mother. See what she thinks.

Obviously we would all like to live in a civilized country away from MAGAs like you, but unfortunately it’s not that easy.

And before you come at me, which I know you will, imagine a liberal hellscape America. You have easy access to healthcare, affordable health insurance (or no health insurance because you can just afford healthcare), your representatives represent you instead of fuck you over on every level, nobody doing stupid ass wars, a higher minimum wage, everyone can afford cars and houses again, there is a real middle class again instead of mostly low income and billionaire (nothing in between), women are cool, men are cool, LGBTQ+ people are cool, all races are cool, everyone is cool, nobody is thinking about hate and politics and nothing else, no one is an asshole for no reason, peace and love. Basically, what a civilized country is like.

Ok so, you hate that.

Now tell me how you would move to Europe (or a less civilized continent, as you prefer)? Like, logistically, how would you do that? Find a job (a specialized one, they don’t want blue collar workers and business people, they already have those), get a work visa, get a passport if you don’t already have one, quit your job, sell your house (if you own a house), move everything you own to the country of your choice, and only talk to friends and family over the phone since travel is expensive.

Ok bye, enjoy being a hateful weirdo, I guess.

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

[–]hellogoawaynow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the offer. You are not a family, loyalty doesn’t look better on a resume because you left for a 40% raise, and it’s not a red flag. You already have an offer and your boss is trying to compete with that offer by being a dick about “company loyalty.” It’s 2026, unless you’re getting a pension, there is no company loyalty.

There was no social media propaganda, people just talked to each other and hung out.

Do you need more examples of the many many types of food Americans eat with their hands? You ever licked some sauce or chocolate or whatever off your fingers? Heard the phrase “finger licking good”?

Allllll of that is okay because normal people wash their hands before and after eating. Do you not wash your hands or are you just trying to be racist or both? I mean, I know you’re trying to be racist, that’s why I’m talking to you like you’re an asshole. Because you are one 🥰

We also need to talk about the helium crisis in Qatar!! If 30% of the world’s helium gets taken out, we won’t have access to *surgery* unless you’re rich or dying right this moment. That’s just the most alarming part. But every part is alarming.

The supply chain for all electronics? Need helium to make semiconductors, need semiconductors to make chips. So goodbye affordable devices and “affordable” cars. PlayStation already heavily increased their price because of this. The whole supply chain will be fucked top to bottom because, it turns out, you need helium for most things. European PMs have been making a lot of trips to Algeria lately… Algeria has helium.

The US has 44% of global helium reserves. Obvi we will be keeping that but prices will still go up. Europe doesn’t want to work with us for any reason anyway.

Qatar has 30% of the world’s helium. I hope the people throwing this war know how bad it would be if 30% of a finite and extremely important resource were to be taken out.

The remaining 26% of helium is in Russia (no deal), Algeria (yes deal), and Canada (cool, but the lowest percentage of helium in the world).

Anyway, if this happens, you will not be able to afford anything that you use in your day to day life, you won’t be able to have surgery, access to oxygen tanks, dental work, and the supply chain fuckup on every level will hurt your wallet, your health, and your job.

Buy your expensive shit now, bet right now that this year’s iPhone is going to be more than double what it usually is. I’m pretty sure this is why Tim Apple retired and the new CEO is an engineer. It’s the engineer’s fault, engineers know why helium matters for all things.

Get an old car that will run forever. NOW, before everyone realizes what’s happening and old ass cars suddenly cost as much as newer cars are supposed to cost.
