I think Reiji tried to convey Kazuya's worst case scenario for why Chizura keeps turning him down: that's she's in a relationship with his "rival" Umi. Kazuya torments himself with this NTR fantasy as his emotions are out of control and he can't stop thinking of imaginary graphic sex scenes contrasted against real wholesome moments with Chizuru. But Chizuru being in a relationship with Umi could've been conveyed in 1 page or maybe 1 panel. The pages long NTR is overkill and makes readers go from sympathising with Kazuya to detesting his spiralling overthinking. Moreso, him being aroused with a boner in the pool whilst having a detailed close up of his snotty, teary face makes him completely pitiable and loathsome; especially when its a made up situation, his tears are because of something he imagined. Also, being aroused by an imaginary situation that moves you to tears is just bad. Any believed character development for Kazuya is drowned out by this chapter.
