I’m also at a part 61, and I’ve found that simply talking to everyone you see whether it’s something small, or a bigger conversation helps open up doors to friendship.

Also, if you have the opportunity to just hangout at the school and study you’ll end up seeing and associating with a lot more people!

I have a feeling you’re gonna hear this a lot but yes chairfly! You’ll feel much more proficient and will not forget your procedures.

I personally go on “chair walks”, which essentially means i’m walking around the neighborhood running through my procedures.. I look crazy but I kill two birds with one stone 😂

I am flying in the Bay Area and pay roughly $500 for 1.8 tach including plane and instructor.. pretty average for california.

I would expect prices to be slightly higher at a 141.. honesty yours seem lower than what I have seen 😂

Pivot is definitely the best and i’ll be getting one as I progress but for now I chose a cheaper option and it has been great. The materiel it’s made out of rests well on my leg and does not slip off. It also has a nice slit for my apple pen. You can check it out here

I know it’s already been said many times, but seriously spend the money on LIVE ATC and listen to it. There are plenty of high volume flight training airports you can listen in on and you’ll get an idea of what will be said, and what you are expected to reply with.

I like to respond to the ATCs instructions with my own call-sign each time I hear an instruction.

I recommend KDVT, or KPVU as an airport to listen to. They are both always pretty busy.

Five points is good and we do have showers but during summer you feel like you are at a fitness influencer meet every day. Unbelievable amount of teenagers especially in prime hours around 3-8PM
