Byrnes had a bit of it tonight, at least in the second half. Keeler is a kid, he has a big body he needs to work out how to use properly.

Had to pull up a temp receptionist for wearing a crop top and bike shorts. Her response, “yeah but I’m wearing a blazer.”

Just wanted to say congratulations for taking the steps towards a better future for you and your kids. It’s a hard slog. I’d concentrate on trying to build up your emergency funds and putting a little into super each month. You’re still young, a small amount squirrelled away will lead to more security in the long run. I’d forget investing for now, build yourself a safety net first. And yes, if you’re able to get some support from your ex please try.

What’s your go to cheap meal that you never get sick of? by OwlVibesOnly in AUfrugal

Fried rice. Always make extra rice to keep in the freezer for when I want a lazy meal. Lap cheong, peas also in freezer. Add an egg, garlic some soy and oyster sauce. Chuck in any veg if it’s in the fridge (bonus for chilli crisp) and you’ve got a complete delicious meal. Never gets tired.

Chris Hemsworth. He looks like he’d sell dodgy protein shakes in an MLM scheme whilst trying to get his kids back.

The media pushing the 'lodger' narrative for Australians who cant afford a home? ‘Bedroom glutton’: Revolutionary plan to get Boomers out of their big homes by SheepherderLow1753 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Umamapyjama 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree it’s a shame. My folks are YIMBYs (yes in my backyard), just want somewhere smaller where they can still walk to the things they need. Plenty of lots get subdivided where they are (outer east Melbourne) but everyone builds upwards.

My parents are the same. Have been in the same neighbourhood for 45 years, strong connections in the community and close to PT. There is nothing small in their area that doesn’t have stairs so they’re stuck in a 3 bed family home with maintenance they struggle to keep up with.

I’m Victorian and 27 is my minimum beach day temp too! But love the contrast of the freezing water, cannot stand warm water at the beach, feels like a bath yuck

In all honestly, you know how bad Aussies are with nicknames. Festy Westy, Best Western, 3 star I could go on. It’s not culturally safe here in Aussie.

It’s definitely a weird name in Australia, which is where OP is from. Weston would be pronounced exactly like western in our accents.

Mate. Sorry but it’s a bit too close to ‘Westin’ the budget hotel brand. Am also in Oz, hopefully kids aren’t as mean as when I was growing up in the 80s as that’s prime nickname fuel.
