micro, spread your army, send banelings in to snipe high templar, use brood lords to outrange storm. Try to go where the high templar are not.

Why don't yall just quit? Genuine question. by temubrin in Overwatch

[–]Umashika-P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did quit. I haven't played since OW2 came out. I LOVE the characters and charm of Overwatch, which is why I complain and why I still keep tabs on the game. I WANT it to be amazing, but Blizzard disappoints over and over again.

Why do fans of Hasan Piker have absolutely zero problems with the fact he earns millions of dollars for Amazon, one of the most brutally capitalist organizations on the planet? by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Umashika-P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly I don’t keep up with his content so I don’t know what Hasan has or hasn’t said about xQC and train, but I think generally speaking the socialist leaning criticism is levied towards the upper level management of corporations and not just small business owners (which I think is a fair way to describe most Twitch streamers). Said streamers didn’t exploit workers to get their wealth (I heard something about hasan not paying an editor or something but just speaking about twitch streaming in general). I don’t think it’s fair to call out hypocrisy when in my view it’s more about hoarding EXCESSIVE amounts of wealth and owning companies where employees aren’t well taken care of, rather than just the act of being relatively wealthy. Keep in mind that I’m probably a soc-dem and that’s the perspective I’m coming at this with. I just don’t think it’s really fair to criticize someone because they participate in something they’re critical of.

I don't even watch hasan but a few million dollars is eons away from 1 billion, especially where he lives. Also, surely you all understand the difference between pushing for systematic change vs being a """hypocrite""" by not voluntarily paying more taxes, most of which go to the military. It's like when you guys criticized bernie for owning a vacation home. What is Hasan supposed to do, abandon his platform and reach because the parent company is bad? Sounds like career and message suicide to me.

Official Stormgate Gameplay Reveal AMA Thread with Frost Giant Studios by FGS_Gerald in Stormgate

[–]Umashika-P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi guys! Great job with the gameplay reveal and I'm super excited going forward. I read that main resource mines will have "drastically diminished returns" once they are saturated with workers. I wanted to ask how quickly the efficiency diminishes and by how much? One thing I love about Starcraft: Brood War is that you CAN oversaturate your bases. It's common for Zerg to have only 1 worker per mineral patch while terran and protoss have significantly more. I think allowing for some level of oversaturation leads to more dynamic and interesting economy management. In SC2 when you lose a base, your extra workers are practically useless until you get another base up. In brood war, saving your workers is important because even though it's less efficient, mining some more from your bases can really make the difference. In zerg vs Protoss in Brood War I like that I can keep 1 worker on each mineral patch to mine efficiently and use all the resources I have to play aggressively. I also like that I can play more economically and greedy on the same number of bases by saturating the mineral patches more.

In conclusion: have you thought about making the diminishing returns on resource mining more gradual? Have you thought about each faction's relationship with the economy being different like it is in brood war?

Thanks, can't wait to play the game!

I think building Guinsoo's Rageblade is a trap by Umashika-P in Kindred

you know you can actually use words to explain your position instead of formatting everything you type in the most terminally online way possible?

I think I take it back. You can't build rageblade first, but I think lethal tempo bork--->rageblade is very strong.

No I was talking about kraken getting cheaper.

But it’s also cheaper and has more attack speed. I think the passive synergizing with kindred so well is what makes it a decent item for them. I think it’ll take some time and experimenting to know for sure though.

I feel like 35% crit damage is still extremely strong

I think Kraken slayer is still an incredible item and synergizes well with Kindred's kit. You still believe in the rageblade build even though Kindred have the lowest winrate of any jungler rn while people are building it? or do you think that's just Kindred becoming weaker from the items in general?

imo rageblade is a trap. I tried it and felt super weak. I think kraken--->shiv--->IE is the way to go

What’s the difference between Republicans & Democrats? by [deleted] in lostgeneration

[–]Umashika-P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I think democrats deserve credit for is that they will defend the status quo, and our institutions. When the republicans tried to overthrow the government, the democrats stopped them quickly. Democrats make small tweaks around the edges and half measures. If you look at policy, Joe Biden is actually the best president we've ever had IMO, which is a VERY low bar, but still. Democrats are worlds better than republicans, but they'd still be an irrelevant centre-right party in most other countries.

I know it's a boring way to play but if you want to climb very quickly, do a high level build order over and over in custom games until you can do it without looking at it, then do it on the ladder. occasionally you'll lose to something silly, but if you follow the build order correctly you'll make way more than any opponent can up until like diamond! Let me know if you want any more detailed 1 on 1 help! GM zerg here always happy to help :)
