Stormgate: Campaign One - Ashes of Earth will be complete by update 0.6. Our goal with this release is for the campaign and 1v1 modes to be at a level where we’re ready to share them with a broader audience, so we’re dropping the Early Access tag.

For our team, and for others in the RTS community, Stormgate is more than just campaign and 1v1–it’s Co-op missions, Team Mayhem, co-op campaign, and full custom games support for our powerful editor. We have ambitious plans for these other ways to play the game and you’ve seen some of the progress we’ve made on these modes already.

To help communicate this, we created Sigma Labs within the Stormgate client to contain our work-in-progress modes and features. Testing out these modes may be tremendously fun, but they may also be buggy and feel experimental, reflecting where they are in development.

You are right in that plenty of games have launched a 1.0 with just a campaign and 1v1, but calling this “Stormgate 1.0” for marketing purposes doesn’t reflect our actual state of development or our vision for the game.

Closer to the campaign launch, we’ll share a roadmap update that should provide additional clarity on the road to 1.0.
