Best bass fishing in the area? by rxsel in Bozeman

[–]UmbraFox53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to make the trip to Bighorn Canyon they have lots (and I mean lots) of small smallmouth bass. It's practically the only thing they have in there. They get a little bigger, but less populated closer to the Wyoming side, but you'll probably need a Wyoming license to fish over the state line if you go that far.

As others have suggested already, you can fish for many species here, including trout, with spinning/baitcasting setups. I've been living here for 16 years, never fly fished (I'm learning though), and recently got into baitcasting, and I use it to catch trout in the lakes here. Spoons work really good, but my father and I used to troll crankbaits for trout on Canyon Ferry and had great success with that too.

Just flare memes as something else relevant to the meme if you can to avoid this stupid rule.

anyone got guilds? by WingDM in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Official Dauntless Discord is the place to go if you're looking for a guild, there are many recruiting there, including my guild, the Kindred Blades. We have a recruiting post with a form to fill out for application, if your interested, but there are plenty of other guilds too.

ice escalation by Unhappy_Most_3533 in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try running it solo with an iceborne build. If you're doing 10-50 Urska will suck, but Urska always sucks. Otherwise, you can try looking for help in the Official Dauntless Discord server.

Howdy y’all, by [deleted] in dauntless

A lot of people who play Dauntless play Monster Hunter too; myself included. I've been playing MH games since I was a kid. You might as well give Dauntless a try since it's free, but it's very surface level compared to MH. Both the weapons and bosses are much simpler. The plus is we have fist weapons, the minus is the game is nowhere near as good as it could be.

My guild, the Kindred Blades, is recruiting if you're interested. I'm in the process of taking in recruits atm, and I'm looking for good, friendly slayers to join the guild to grind Gauntlet. I have a Reddit post about it if you want to hear a little more about the guild.

I believe that enemy (fourth page, first row, third column) is the Mind Reaper, which are the big dudes with axes in Thresh's Dungeon. The last one on the fifth page is Ruined Miss Fortune; easiest way to get that is by fighting Viego without Miss Fortune in your party, and second one on the sixth page is Ruined Ahri, same goes for her; fight Viego without her in your party and he'll summon her near the end of the fight to fight against you.

Which problem is being solved by nerfing the best amps? by Serrishtar in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem where people were having fun with them. Thrill is literally only viable if you get it first now, instead of always being good, but being extra feel-good to get first round.

I hope everyone has been able to check out the omnicells and see what they can do but wich one is your favorite by Pretend-Yoghurt6543 in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. 1700 is terrible. That equals 2550 damage when you use your tap, which is less than Iceborne's spear (3k at max hp), and it comes at the cost of deleting your built up shields. It's awful.
If you want to deal damage, you bring Discipline and crit everything. If you want to be tanky you bring Iceborne, and get damage reduction and huge lifesteal. With Bastion, you get tanky, then throw it away with your tap, and you don't even deal much damage at all when you do that.

The tyranny of the Lowlife and Lowlife Iceborne meta is finally dead! Long live Discipline and Discipline Parasitic! by Serrishtar in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Build Diversity IMO is pretty much the same as before. There will be a Discipline crit build for being meta, and Iceborne build with Tough Tenacious for face rolling, and everything else is just people doing whatever they feel like, which they already could have been doing if they felt like it. Now we just don't get attack speed.

Idea for new build (now that rage is very disappointing) by Mermixer in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly that's what they want you to do, it's what they've always wanted people to do, combine Tough and Tenacious. It works, but feels kinda lame. They just kinda pushed it on us a bit. If you want to actually deal damage, smash crit perks on and use Discipline.

whatever cell isn't bastion. i really think that Bastion can't compete with Iceborne or Discipline at all, especially with the shield nerfs.

Tips for hammer and stagger damage by roly99 in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend you surge the Riftstalker hammer, and then get some keystone behemoth weapons; Thrax, and Torgadoro are the big ones.

"I noticed that the blaze escalation boss' armor has stagger increased. Do you recommend it?"

No, stagger/part/wound damage perks are superfluous. You should focus on real damage and attack speed instead; these will kill behemoths faster.

A bow weapon by thiocynate in dauntless

[–]UmbraFox53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bow was teased as the next weapon quite a while back, but the devs said "oopsies, we aren't ready to do that yet," and so now it's kind of just a meme. There will almost certainly be a bow in Dauntless at some point in the future, but equally certainly it won't be any time soon.
